Out on the hunt (open)

Edward stood at the edge of the camp, his eyes scanning the area for signs of prey. He spotted a hare, nibbling on a clump of thick grass a small way away, and crouched down low to stalk it. He got one cat-length away, and pounced...

Mud had been excersizing his injured leg;the burnt flesh made him wince every time he looked at it. Why isn't it getting better?he thought in alarm,almost bumping into Edward. "Oops,"he muttered. "Sorry."

Ed crashed head-first into the ground, the hare escaping from under his paws. His lips curling up in a snarl, he rounded on the other wolf and howled, "Couldn't you see I was hunting?!" them, seeing that it was Mud, he growled, "Oh. Hello Mud." turning his back on the young wolf he sulkily scanned the scenery for deer or any more hare or rabbits. He mumbled curses under his breath as he thought about how scarce the prey was nowadays, but felt a little bad about how he had snapped at the other wolf. Ed turned around and dipped his head in apology, "Sorry. You startled me..."

"No,it's alright. I'm to blame;you could have caught that rabbit."Mud pointed out,but his ears were flat against his head. "Have you seen Autumn around?"

Dairo burst through the bushes. A hare was clamped in his jaws as he ran forward. He tried to stop himself when he noticed the two wolves, Mud and Edward, but only failed. His sudden stop cause him to trip and fall towards his the member of his pack, Edward.

OOC: Shorter than a Boston Cream Pie.

"NOOOO!" Ed yelped as the larger wolf came bowling into him. "This can't be fair..." he hit the ground and slib a few cat-lengths before slowing to a stop. As soon as he had registered what what had happened, the short wolf sprang to his paws, "I swear this is a plot! A conspiracy! A-a...a...uhh...something! Why the hell is everyone doing that?!" he shouted, his hackles bristling angrily. He saw that Dairo had a hare in his mouth and muttered sourly, "I see you caught one, then."

"Have you seen Autumn around?" asked Mud. Ed turned to him, "Sorry, I haven't." his tail drooped and heglared around the area to see if any more flying wolves would come and slam into him.

Dairo quickly jumped up when he heard yells a fury. He wasn't sure wasn't going on, he hadn't processed it yet. The hare was still firmly clamped in his jaws, he wasn't letting this go until he knew what happened. He looked around and saw mud, then saw Edward, angry. He must have ran into him, but what was all this about conspiracies? Dairo dropped his prey and looked at the smaller wolf.

Man he's short, Dairo thought before he spoke. "Sorry for that. I didn't see you and I... tripped." He gave one of those goofy smiles he always gave that would always bring up the question if he was serious or not.

"Didn't see me?!" Ed growled, swishing his tail. "Am I too tiny to be seen over a blade of grass?!" he scuffed the ground and a clump of earth was flung to the side.

OOC: a post shorter than Ed XD

"Well, that bush is pretty tall," Dairo joked looking back at it. He looked over to Edward again, he was being so serious. He didn't like serious. Dairo sat down as he watched him. "What's crawling in your fur?"

Mud's ears drooped. "Alright. Can you tell her,if you see her,that I need to talk to her? I can't really get anywhere with this leg."he barked,looking down at his injured paw.

Dream dragging a large buck dear behind her turned around dropping to dear looking at Dario."Are you causeing trouble again"She barked from behind him.She looked at Edward he seemed mad.Dream looked a Dario With a raised brow."What did you do"She asked.

Ed calmed himself and shook his hackles down, before sitting and scratching behind his ear with a hind paw. "Nothing." he said, friendlier now his frustration had passed. "Except there's hardly any prey...we need to work extra hard or Flint will start eating us!" he joked. As the Alpha wolf, Flint would be the one to get first pick on who to eat...

OOC: XD flinty will get indigestion if he eats Eddy.

Mud flinched at Flint's name. "It would probably be me first...."he grumbled,remembering his father,who had died trying to kill the alpha. Everyone said Mud looked just like him,while Autumn got the luck of looking like their mother.

"ok than well i'll be on my way." she barked heading off with her buck dear again.

"I've done nothing," Dairo said to his mate, Dream. Well, he did do something, he ran straight into Edwards on accedent. Oh well. He watched as Dream ran off and looked at Edward and nodded. "Well, if Flint starts eating us then someone will be well fed."
