FIRST GATHERING

Shadow nodded. "I think I know which cats you mean." Shadow never took her eyes off the three cats, who had stopped playing and were crouching worriedly looking up at her. She flicked her tail, gazing emotionlessly at Smallpaw, Jadeclaw, and Amberpaw. She didn't pretend to know nothing.

BlackClaw knew that Shadow was thinking the same as he was and resumed his original sitting position without taking his eyes off the suspects.

"Fox-Dung!" Smallpaw half hissed, half murmered to Amberpaw and Jadeclaw... "They BOTH know!"

BlackClaw leaned closer to the small group of cats. "Yes, we both know." He hissed. "We want a word with you when the Gathering is over."

Smallpaw gulped, trying to control some Bile in her throat.
"Do you think they'll dellay us becoming warriors?" She asked Amberpaw.

BlackClaw glared at the pair who looked ever so worried. "You are so dead." He muttered under his breath.

Jadeclaw met his gaze, not blinking. I'm not afraid of him. After all, I'm also a deputy.

"Is the Gathering nearly over?" BlackClaw growled to ShadowStar impatiently. "We have some business to sort out."

Amberpaw glared at the ground, her claws sheithing and unsheithing, making marks on the ground. It wasn't Smallpaw's fault she went over the border! She was just curious! And we would have gone straight back if it hadn't been for that... that peice of fox-dung who delayed us! Amberpaw thought angrily. Her eyes flared. "If he holds us back, I'm going to show him every little peice of strength I possess!" She hissed determindly.

Rainpaw mingled with the other apprentices.She was overwhelmed by how many cats were there.Her blue eyes wide with wonder,she stepped near the ThunderClan group,hoping the scent of her Clan would comfort her.

Nightleaf and Moonfur were sitting near by Rainpaw."Hi Rainpaw."(Nightleaf)"Hey...Rainpaw."(Moonfur)"

Flamestar stepped up. "Some of you may not know us and me but I am Flamestar leader of FireClan. Our prey is running well and we have marked our borders." he mewed

Mountainstar jumped in front of them, Blckclaw wouldn't do anything to tese cats if he could help it. He meowed to them, "I am making sure he doesn't kill you guys or anything, I will be in bush where no one can see me and still in earshot and I will listen and watch. If something goes wrong I will jump in but if not I won't." he whispered to them so only they could hear him.

BlackClaw growled as he watched MountainStar jump in front of the two suspects defensively and began mewing to them inaudibly. Once again, he leaned closer to ShadowStar. "Shadow, you don't think MountainStar has anything to do with it, do you? He's acting ever so suspicious."

Flamestar continued, "We have located in part of the canyon, I apologize to Flint for taking their land but we needed a place to stay, before we got kicked out of the clans that was our home and when we came back we hoped to get out territory so we claimed it again but apparently a new clan came while we were gone. You guys only wanted four clans back then and choose the 2 clans who weren't of the original four. We came back though, FireClan has come back. This all happened when I was a kit.

"Hey!"Rainpaw mewed.She looked around."Is there normally this many cats?"She asked nervously."It's just my first Gathering."She confessed.

"Thanks Mountainstar..." Smallpaw mewed, still crouching. She listened to what Flamestar had to say. We met him... Well... Bumped into him...

"Hey!"Rainpaw mewed,padding up to Smallpaw."Whats your name?I'm Rainpaw!"She purred proudly.

Smallpaw jumped as a Thunderclan apprentice came up to her.
"Shhh! Can't you see the gathering has ALREADY started!" Smallpaw quitely hissed, "And, I'm Smallpaw of RiverClan..."

Rainpaw seemed to shrink."Sorry,"She muttered.'Jeez,my first Gathering,and it seems I have an enemy!'she thought bitterly.She flicked her brown tipped tail in agitation and moved closer to the ThunderClan group.Then she stared at the leaders on the tree with hot blue eyes.

"Starclan, What's her problem?" Smallpaw muttered. She locked her gaze on the Tree, trying to read the other Leaders' expressions.

Shadow flicked her head and closed her eyes in annoyance. Her cats were getting twitchy. And embarrassing. She knew that Blackclaw meant well, but why couldn't he just be patient and let Shadowstar handle it after the gathering? She glanced up at the cloud obscuring part of the beautiful moon - it hadn't budged. Sighing, her flexed her claws and listened respectfully to the other leaders.

I should be up there right now. She didn't say anything about me, that is amazing. he thought. He listened to the other leaders giving their report. He saw Flamestar, one of his old buddy's. Flamestar had helped him when he was young find his way back to his camp. They were friends from that day on when he was lost when he went hunting.

Rainpaw looked at the wolf,ownhgiobawhgiowahgiohwae,and sighed.'I wish I were that brave,'she thought,sighing inwardly.
