Pain Soaks In

Goldenpaw walked beside Cinnamonkit outside the camp, ignoring the fact that a storm had begun. "The stream is this way." he spoke softly, as he too had begun to feel the loss, the pain, of his mother's death.

"ok"she whisperd.she slowly walked beside him.

They reached the stream and he lapped some up. Signalling to the cat beside him to do the same. He then saw a willow tree with large den-like hole in it. He cleaned it out and spread some moss out. He had made a clean, dry den. Shelter for the night.

she lapped up some water than walked to the den.shaking her semi-long fur before following him in.

Goldenpaw layed in the soft moss and waited for her to lay beside him. Signalling with his tail, he wanted the she-cat kit to lay with him so he could clean her bedraggled fur. It looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for moons.

she layed softly beside him every movement of hers was very graceful now.she seemed a bit happier.but something bothered her.
she wanted to say something but feared his reply.she breathed in his sweet scent.she savoured the scent till she breathed out.

"You are as tense as a rock." He spoke softly as he swept his tongue over her, her blazing ginger fur starting to show "You can confide in me."

her icy blue eyes widened as he realized she was tensed.she let herself lean aginst him her body comfrombly limp.though thoughts troubled her she didn't show.

"Cinnamonkit, I have been through as much as you do. I can tell when something is troubling somecat." he spoke between tongue strokes. "Talk to me, we have all night, the storm is too fierce for us to go anywhere."

"its something personal"she mewed the place was filled with their scent."someone will relize where missing won't they.the queens always check if im in my little corner."she continued

"Runningpaw will tell Wolfstar and the queens where we are. Most other cats know about this tree. We won't see any other cat until tommorow. I know how to keep a secret. If you would like to know about me, I will willingly tell you. Don't be so protective of yourself, let yourself go. You can trust me." Goldenpaw was hoping that this small she-cat would start trusting him, if she did, there was a huge possibility that she wouldn't be so hostile towards her clanmates. Plus, he was fairly fond of her.

"ok"she whispered.she snuggled up next to him her nose in his fur ready to listen.she layed her tail on his.

"Well, I remember when I was on an adventure with my mentor, Watertail and I was still known as Goldenkit. We were on a search for his mother, who I had found in an abandoned badger set. Moontail, was her name and she took me in as her son, as she did Watertail. Her mate, Cloud was born a rogue that left his band to be with her while she was still in her clan. She had asked her leader if he could stay, but she was denied, and as punishment for finding a mate in a rogue, she was made one. A few moons after, Waterkit was born. When he was old enough to be weaned, she decided that he would have a better life in the clan. So she left him where warriors constantly patroled.
Later on in time, her and Cloud had met up with a badger and Cloud sacrifised himself to save her.
After,she took shelter in the badger's set." He looked at the kit who he found












was looking at him "Now, tell me what is on your mind. I swear to StarClan that no one shall know beside you and I."

she spoke her past"all i remember was my mothers scent.i never saw her.her vocie was soft and careing.that sad day i was born i could only hear loud hisses and strange sounds.suddenly it all ended.alone,in a place i didn't know of.long after that i started mewling loudly.something steped by me.after a mintute i was picked up by my neck skin.i strugled.i heard more discusion.and was soon set down.than i heard the leader say "her name will be cinnamonkit."
ever scince i layed in a small corner of the nursury letting noone touch me.the queens brought me food.the kits feared me or teased me for not being clan born.ethier way i ignored them.

"i know"she whispered.does he feel the same about me that i feel about him she thought.she let herself snuggle to him she was comfrobly num as she thought form time to time.she never moved from beside him.

"goldenpaw may i ask something"cinnamonkit mewed.she was being rather brave at the momment.

"Speak your mind, there is nothing to hide between us two." his eyes shone as he spoke to the small ginger she-cat. Her coat gleemed liker fire, now that it was clean. Her coat was beautiful, she was beautiful. Her future mate would be lucky.

she gulped"do you love anyone"she asked eyes shining.

"I have someone in mind." he nudged her with his muzzle, laying his head gently on the crest of her back.

"w-who"she stumbled over her word.she mently scrathched herself.
no no no i studdered he'll expect something she thought.

"Why do you ask young one?" he asked, still her sweet scent, greeting his nose with tender happiness.

"cause i would like to know"she boldly said.

He hesitated slighftly, then he continued as boldly as she did "You." he replied as he lifted his head off her chest.

"thats nice to know"she whisperd.a purr rose in her throat"i love you"she purred.
