Rosepelt's limp body lay in the clearing, when her tail started twitching. Her wounds hurt even more now, as dirt had gotten into the gashes. Her head still throbbed intensly, and she walked over to the medicine cat's den, but not before collapsing at the mouth of the cave. She was still conscious, just unable to get up.
