Exercise (open)

Silverpelt led the way into the territory, breathing in the air and she sighed, still not used to the scent of ShadowClan. Turning to look at Dustclaw, she smiled.

DustClaw smiled back then meowed "Maybe we should catch some prey, I''ll catch the prey for the elders,can you catch some prey for the pile SilverPelt?"

Silverpelt sighed, some of the snow piling onto her fur. "If there's any out here. Besides, I hunted earlier before I went into the warriors den."

"Oh right, well I still need to get something for my mother" DustClaw meowed "She iss badly injured and can hardly move, so i hunt for her.

OOC: *crashes the party*

Feralpelt stalked through the trees of the dark forest of Shadowclan. She was crouched low, her footsteps silent as she searched for prey. Her ears were pricked and she scented the air every step. Nothing she couldn't smell anything. The prey was so scarce since the large storm, leafbare just made it oh, so much worse. They'd all be stick thin before the warm days came, and they'd all be frozen. Luckily for her, she was fluffy.

Quickly he head turned as she heard movement in the bushes next to a tree. She scented the air to smell the calling scent of a squirrel. It was probably getting ready for hibernation or something like that. Slowly she stalked forward towards the animal.

When she was close enough, the distance to see the soon-to-be-meal's fur, she jumped in. She felt her claws catch the tip of it's tail, and she bolted after it in pursuit. It hadn't gone up in the tree near it, she couldn't understand why, but it wasn't important, she had to get it.

She ran faster, quickly gaining on the squirrel. Another tree was coming up, and she could see it start to shift toward it's direction. It was now or never. With a quick jump she caught the squirrel by it's tail and killed it off quickly with a bite to the neck.

Feralpelt lifted her catch, tasting the blood as if slowly flowed into her mouth. The squirrel was thin, as all the prey was, and it discouraged her, how will they make it through?

"Not with a bunch of fat loners coming in, that's for sure," she mumbled to herself through the catch. Silverpelt, she was a prey stealer in disguise.

She turned, getting ready to go back to camp and get the rest of the prey she had caught, but stopped in surprise when she saw Dustclaw and Silverpelt. She let out a groan of displeasure. Why were they always around when she tried to have a good time?

"How's it goin', lovebirds?" She said to them casually before walking past them and starting on her way to the rest of her catches.

"Fine actually." DustClaw meowed after her with half-slitted eyes, why couldn't she just accept SilverPelt? When Feralpelt had gone away he opened his jaws for the scent of prey. A slight smell of rabbit, the only prey that likes the snow. DustClaw then saw the grey animal, and raced after it.

The rabbit had just relized DustClaw was coming after it and started dashing away. You're not getting away from me rabbit! Then DustClaw made a huge leap with his large back legs, and just got his claws in the rabbit and killed it.

DustClaw padded back over to Silverpelt. "I got one" he meowed happily.

Silverpelt smiled at Dustclaw before turning on Feralpelt and watching her go back to her catches and back camp. Her fur bristled and she spat.

"It's ok Silverpelt, let's just hunt and you'll forge about her." DustClaw meowed to Silverpelt.

Silverpelt sighed and tried to concentrate on hunting, flicking her ears around.

DustClaw scented the air, then he relized their was no scent at all, just his and Silverpelt's. Then he suddenly smelled something, he traced the scent to a dead, skinny mouse. Probably died from starvation. Oh well, better than nothing.

DustClaw picked it up and carried it over to where he had placed the rabbit.

Silverpelt sighed before turning and seeing another rabbit and she dashed after it. She tripped on a tree root and slid to a stop, crushing the rabbit beneath her, but she hissed.

DustClaw couldn't help laughing at that. "Heh, Silverpelt you're supposed to jump after it." DustClaw meowed,stifling his growing laughter, "at least you caught it."

The she-cat tried to get up but collapses. "IF you're quite done laughing, I could use some help here..." She tried to get up again, before merely collapsing.

"Oh sorry." DustClaw meowed, still chuckling. "Here." DustClaw pushes on the side of Silvepelt to get her on her feet.

Silverpelt hisses again, but manages to get to her feet. She looked at her shoulder and sighed. "I hate doing this..." She bit into her leg and pulled, popping her shoulder back into place. She sighed and picked up her rabbit and placed it next to Dustclaw's catches, after cuffing him over the ear with her paw.

"Ow, that hurt." DustClaw meowed rubbing his ear. "I think we should get one more rabbit before we go back." DustClaw meowed looking at the reasonably big pile for how bad it's been going.

Silverpelt looked around, not finding any other rabbits at all, or scenting any. "Where else can they be?" she asked.

"Well, we have just been right here for the last hour, maybe we should keep loking around." DustClaw suggested. "I mean, all the prey has pobably been scared away by now."

Silverpelt snorts before padding out a couple fox-lengths and scents rabbit. She looked around and saw that she found a rabbit hole. She caved in a small bit of it and dug out a thin rabbit. "There." she muttered through a mouthful of scrawny fur. Placing it on the pile she said, "Let's go... I'm tired." She picked up her two rabbits and began to go to camp.
