Hunting In The Woods

BlackClaw, the Riverclan Deputy, pawed at the ground in impatience. Then, his ears perked up as he heard a soft rustle of leaves. He leapt up, sniffing. His nose led him past a line of trees and over some rocks. Then, he saw the long tail of a rat poking out of a large pile of leaves. BlackClaw crouched down...and pounced. Immediatly sinking his jaws into his prey, BlackClaw killed the rat before tearing the flesh off of the bones and chewing before swallowing.

Shadow slipped silently from and bush and walked up to her deputy. "Hello, Blackclaw." the leader said huskily. Looking at the rat carcass of the rat, she said, "Good catch...but did you forget the code?" she was talking, of course, about the part of the warrior code that says a cat must feed his clan before himself.

Flicking a paw, she kicked up a tiny amount of water from a nearby puddle and watched it sparkle in the sunlight.

BlackClaw greeted his leader. "Did you forget the code?" His leader asked him. BlackClaw shrugged, slightly embarrassed before leaping up to a low branch of a large oak tree. Digging his claws into the branch, BlackClaw stretched. Then, he sat up and cleaned himself.
