Laying Down(Sparrow)

Griffonpaw had chewed his herbs up long ago and was just waking out of his den. He still didn't want Cinderpaw in the den, he didn't want her sick. She was a good apprentice and didn't deserve to get sick from some cat who deserved to be a rogue. He thought for a moment, his head on his paws, Am I really destined to be a rogue? An outcast from my own Clan? This thought swam about in his head, refusing to leave, but he couldn't come up with an answer for it.

when Cinderpaw got back to the camp she still saw movement in the den shouldn't he be sleeping by now, its very dark and he has a condition. before she walked into the medicine den she took a big breath of air, and she saw that Griffonpaw was still up "you should be sleeping." she said.

Blackpaw ran in with his sleek black pwnsomeness "I'm awesome!' he yowled jumping in the air and running on the cealing of the apprentice den. "Haha you're all sick!" Blackpaw yowled sticking out his tongue afterwards

"Shouldn't you be out there?" Griffonpaw sharply retorted. He felt a sharp pang of worry for the she-cat. She was so kind yet it got her nowhere. He didn't want her to die with the horrible sickness he and Cloudfrost had managed to get.

"don't worry i wont be long, i just needed to check up on you. I saw you were still up and moving around. And i am sorry if i startled you." Cinderpaw said on her way out.

Griffonpaw struggled to sit up. "Wait up." he called. He would get out of the den if he needed to, he didn't want Cinderpaw to think he hated her.

Cinderpaw stopped dead in her tracks "Do you need something?" she asked in a sweet tone of voice.

Griffonpaw thought quickly. "Uh.. just want some cat to talk to. Cloudfrost isn't much for company." he lied. Cloudfrost had become his best friend, had become a father to him.

"Urg...Really,we're fine,"Cloudfrost growled weakly,looking up at the two younger cats. His eyes seemed misty,like he was already among StarClan's ranks,although he was fighting the sickness valiantly. His breath rasped uneasily out of his lungs as he struggled to stand. "Go. We can't have you carrying the sickness to anyone else. And I don't want you to get sick."

Griffonpaw limped over to Cloudfrost's side. He had Cloudfrost lean on him. "Lay down." he coughed. "I guess you better leave then, Cinderpaw."

"I told you I'm fine,"he muttered,leaning heavily on Griffonpaw's side. Crap....That sickness from before is making e weaker!Cloudfrost thought angrily,thinking back to when Silverpelt found him in the forest.

"are you sure?" Cinderpaw asked. after Griffonpaw nodded she thought great starclan they must be hungry! so she ran out to the freshkill pile and got them two mice when she headed beck to the entrance she said "here is some fresh kill." and took them the mice "eat up." she said thoughtfully.

Griffonpaw stared down at the mouse, unsure of what to do. So many more cats need this more than I do. I'm only an apprentice, I shouldn't have it. He easily pushed it away towards Cloudfrost.

"why wont you eat? you need food." Cinderpaw said with the slightest sign of caring for the tom.

"He needs it more." Griffonpaw said blanky. His mind said no to the food strongly, though his body was dying for it. Literally.

"don't be mousebrained Griffonpaw, you need to eat, you have something that needs to be treated and not eating is not helping." said Cinderpaw.

Griffonpaw simply curled into his nest. He wouldn't eat. Not in weather like this. "No." he muttured.

not sure what to do Cinderpaw decided to annoy him until he ate it anyway. "well then, i guess I'm going to stay here until you eat it." there is no way he wont eat now, he hates me so he would do anything to get rid of me. she thought as she sat down.

Even better! Griffonpaw's inner voice was telling him to sit up and talk to the she-cat, but Cloudfrost was still there. He didn't want to disturb him. "Fine." he murmured, he reached over and took a single bite out of the mouse. Though his stomach was begging him to swallow the thing whole, his will silenced the urging of his hunger.

"You need to eat,Griffonpaw."Cloudfrost muttered from his bed,looking at the two from half-closed eyes. "Take my share. No one wants an old buzzard in the camp." He propped himself up on one paw and wobbled unsteadily,cursing his blindness yet again as he 'looked' at his apprentice.

Griffonpaw let out a furious hiss. "Buzzard? Buzzard? Is that what you think you are?" Griffonpaw stumbled onto his paws and limped over to Cloudfrost, towering over the laying cat. "You're the best warrior I know. You've taught me everything, when no one would even dare to look at me. I'm closer to you than my own father! Or mother! As a best friend I'm making you eat one of those mice, if you won't eat it then, get ready to have it shoved down your throat." he growled.

Cloudfrost blinked,clearly surprised. Then he sighed. "I hadn't thought of that....All I've ever known is the pity of other warriors. I'd almost forgotten my dream in my anger. I'm sorry,Griffonpaw."he mewed feebly before coughing.

Griffonpaw let out a faint grunt as a 'your welcome' "Just eat the mouse and I'll eat mine." he grabbed the mouse he'd taken a bite out of and finished it off in a few ravenous bites. It made him feel like he'd eaten 12 rats.

"Fine,fine..."he muttered,still discontent. He took a bite out of his mouse and couldn't resist but to eat the rest ravenously. He hadn't eaten good for a moon....mainly because he was giving his prey to the kits and elders.
