How Many More...?

Littlestar stepped into his den. Once again loner had come and intruded into his clan, leaded by his clanmates for reasons he didn't even know. Would mor eloners come? Would so many come into the clan that he'd have to make an announcement to run out every cat on sight, no exceptons? Did he even have to say it? Did this cat want refuge? She had to, why else would she be here?

Littlestar sat down, turning towards the two cats. "So Crowpaw, tell me, who is this and why is she here?" He didn't want to go through this rutine again. He felt like he'djust been in here talking about those three cats not too long ago. In fact, he hadn't! It was just yesterday! This couldn't go on, it really couldn't, but at the moment, he had no solution.

(I'm sorry.. I got sooo off track. D:)

Crowpaw looked at the she-cat, then back at Littlestar.
"Well.... This cat, Gingersomething," Crowpaw saw Gingersnow shoot her a glare. "claims that she's been in FireClan before. And she wants to come back." Crowpaw finished.

Gingersnow nodded. "Permission to speak?" She meowed, raising her right forepaw a bit.

Littlestar's nose twitched as he took in Crowpaw's answer and looked towards er... Gingersomething. Well, she looked, kind of familiar, but not really. It was... hard to place, who she was, but oh, it was probably another cat that looked near to her or some other thing, and well... what else? "Please do," he mewed to the other cat when she asked to speak. He wanted to hear exactly what this was, and maybe she could tell him more.

"Well... many sunfalls ago, FireClan was a Clan of travelers. We searched and searched for a home, but we never found one. We had settled down in a temporary refuge, but there was a horrible flood that killed and separated us from most of the Clan. My mate had been deputy then, and then became leader. But we were all separated." Gingersnow stopped to cough.
"Then I was pointed in the right direction by some other cats, and I've finally found FireClan. Though it is different, I'll accept it all the same. But I want to know.. What happened to Flamestar?"

(Yush, Gingersnow was his ancient mate.)

Littlestar twitched his ears. "Flamestar..." he mewed a little dikstantly. The old leader before him. He liked that cat a lot, though, he was a tad weird to him, but other than that, he was an okay leader. He did this and that, and as a result, this and that happened, and everything had some order. But he was gone now. "He has died." He contemplated the cats telling. Being seperated in a flood, lost and looking for directions, it seemed, absurd, very much so. But what if it were all true? She did know Flamestar after all, and she did say she was his mate. It was hard to actually tell.

Gingersnow's eyes widened.
"D-died? How?" Gingersnow clawed at the ground, black claws tearing up the soil.
No, why is he dead? He can't be dead!
"Are you sure he's dead? Did you witness his death?" Gingersnow insisted, trying to hide tears of pain and loss.

(Why do I always forget this thread exists? .____.)

"Yes, died." Littlestar nodded. "Flint, the WolfClan leader, knocked him right off of the branch he stood on at the Gathering, and his last life went there. No one did a thing." He began to think back on that day, a little nostalgia starting to grow. "No, I wasn't there, I was told by another warrior." He was not told to come that day, as he was not the deputy yet. When the news came, ti was a shock. He stared at the other cat, studying her reactions.

At first, Gingersnow's eyes merely grew wide. But then her gaze turned angry. Her amber eyes started to burn with hatred.
"They did nothing? Nothing?!" She growled. She looked at the ground and ripped it open.
"What disgraceful cats! I do not want to live among Clans such as these! Please, Littlestar, I'm sorry for wasting your time. I will not be joining FireClan." Gingersnow decided, getting to her paws.
"Though I have no where to go, I know I'll make it somehow."

Littlestar nodded his head. "If that is what you wish to do," he answered her. He could comply with her anger. He was furious as well. He couldn't actually believe the story, but when they came back without Flamestar, it almost seemed true. What exactly happened then, he could never really be sure. "I don't even remember a burial," he murmured to himself.

Her ear flicked at hearing Littlestar mutter something, something about a burial, but she couldn't quite hear. So Gingersnow merely shook it off and padded out of the leader's den, only to stop in the entrance.
"Littlestar... though I may not be joining FireClan, I will be okay with being its ally. What do you think?" She turned around to look.

Crowpaw had been sitting there the whole time, taking the story in.
I don't understand, though.... sure, Flamestar's dead, but wouldn't that give her reason enough to join? Crowpaw thought. Then she shook her head. She didn't really like the look of this she-cat, and was quite glad when she left. She looked at her paws when the she-cat had asked to become allys. Would Littlestar want them to become allys?

Littlestar tilted his head. Allies? He wondered, what could one cat do to help them? But she said she lived somewhere before? That somewhere could have other cats that could probably help them some day, but where were they? Depending on their distance, he didn't think they could be much help, but maybe they'd need it some day. They were already trying to bring themselves up from harsher times, they needed what they could get.

Littlestar nodded. "Yes, if you wish to you may."

She dipped her head in respect.
"Thank you Littlestar. I will be close by, but I will be off your territory." Gingersnow assured.

"Should I escourt her to the edges of the territory?" Crowpaw snapped out of her thoughts.

Littlestar looked over at Crowpaw when she suggested to escort her. He had forgotten that she was even there. Somewhere in his mind, he remembered telling Crowpaw to leave, and excuse the two, but he must not have, she was still there. Finally, after what seemed like forver he answered her. "No, she came her on her own, I'm sure she can find her way out."

"Okay. Then may I leave? I'm sure the Clan could use some fresh-kill." She suggested. She had to do something, after sitting here for what felt like moons. Her tail twitched.

Gingersnow padded out of the den, avoiding the stares she recieved when she walked through the camp.
Do I really want to leave? Gingersnow asked herself. Yes. She decided. She bounced out the camp, and through the territory. She smelled mice, and her mouth started to water. But taking a Clan's food was a sure way to get the Clan to become friendly with her. She squashed her hunger and headed to the part of the canyon when cats didn't go.
