Hunting

The sound of a twig snapping not too far away made Thistleclaw blink open his eyes. He stood up quickly, nearly hitting his head on the roof of the den. "Yeah, probably. You're right, let's go." He meowed reluctantly. He wished he could stay forever with her, but he knew that was impossible. After letting out a long sigh, he picked up the squirrel in his jaws and nudged her gently to her paws. Together, the two cats set off for camp, with Thistleclaw keeping an eye out for the morning patrol. If they were caught, there might be a lot of questions asked.

Cherryheart padded back towards the camp, her pelt brushing against Thistleclaw's. As her tail entwined with his, Cherryheart had a flashback of the previous night. "I'll never forget, Thistleclaw," she murmured as the camp entrance came back into sight.

Thistleclaw said nothing, his mouth full of fresh-kill, but he knew that he would never forget it either; the time spent with her was emblazoned in his mind.

He stopped suddenly, seeing the camp entrance. Then, he shook his head and started forwards again.

Together the pair walked through the entrance, their tails entwined.
