Robin and Tiger

His blood was boiling, and anger was starting to take over him. Without thinking, he unsheathed his claws and skidded to a halt, changing direction so quickly he sent grass and dirt showering everywhere. Bunching up his muscles, he leapt at the fallen tomcat, closing in for the kill.

Just before his adversary reached his exposed belly Sweetfur reared up on his hind legs and brought his full weight crashing down on Tigerblaze's orange striped back. Not feeling the tom buckle beneath him he reared up again, this time angling his blow to the side to knock him over. Blood roared in Sweetfur's ears, making the world seem silent as he slashed his claws across the other tom's back again and again.

Just as he was getting ready to deal the final blow he heard a frightfully familiar yowl. Robinpaw was racing towards the tussle, eyes blazing with an otherwordly fury that even frightened Sweetfur.

In a fury of claws and fur Robinpaw overtook Sweetfur, her blows rivaled even the most powerful warrior's in strengh and speed. The moon shown on the scene below, making even this carnage look poetic. WIth each blow Robinpaw felt herself getting weaker, as if the power she had borrowed from some unknown source was fading away. "Finish him TIgerblaze!" she yelped before she collapsed.

Blow after blow landed on Tigerblaze's back as his legs weakened and buckled beneath him, the dark stripes on his pelt oozing scarlet. Panting with the effort, he rolled over onto his back, pressing his opponent into the ground with as much force as he could muster and whipped around, slashing his belly with powerful strokes. He wasn't using taught battle techniques, no, it was anger controlling his every movement.

But a sudden realization dawned on him, clear as sunlight streaming through the clouds. He's going to kill me if I don't kill him first!

He didn't even have time to open his jaws before a swirl of dark grey and red swept past him straight into Sweetfur. The moon's light shone on their pelts, and for a moment it seemed as if all of LionClan were participating in the brawl. "Finish him, Tigerblaze!" She yowled before collapsing with exhaustion.

With a deep snarl, like her words sending power streaming into him, he lunged for the weakened tom, snapping his jaws at his throat, wanting- no, needing the feel and taste of Sweetfur's blood.

OOC: O.O He's turning into a freak too...

OOC: Then maybe he should live on. ;3 Sweetfur's gonna try to get a final blow on this guy that can either miss, kill him, or majorly wound him. I can't remember what we planned for this, so you choose.

Blood oozed out of Sweetfur's throat, turning the ground beneath into silvery scarlet mud. A strangled gasp of pure rage escaped out of Sweetfur's throat, "You won't get off that easily!" Using all the strengh he had remaining he raised his head and snapped at Tigerblaze's throat. He could feel the rage pouring off of him, setting his fur ablaze.

The world seemed to melt together, the barely visible horizon swirled until Sweetfur couldn't tell which was was up or down. He felt cold, so cold... Then everything was black.

The feeling of satisfaction welling inside of him and spreading through his limbs was extinguished as a similar blow gashed his neck. Gasping for breath, Tigerblaze fell onto his side, his flanks heaving with the effort to stay alive. Black lights danced in front of his eyes and the smell of blood flowing off the two toms swarmed his scent glands with its sickening tangy scent, his bloodied ears dripping blood into his mouth. He couldn't even summon up the energy to spit the blood out or to wretch.

Robinpaw... please be okay. Were his last thoughts, her face swimming in front of his eyes. He felt defeated. Utterly, completely defeated, as he let unconsciousness swoop over him and smother him in its dark depths.

Robinpaw felt her world shatter. "No," She felt panic taking over, swamping her. I can't let him die. I have to get back to camp. But what will they say? That doesn't matter right now. GO! Her legs felt like jelly beneath her. She couldn't understand why she felt such fear for Tigerblaze's life, she would be the last one to admit that she loved him. The forest blurred around her. She could hear nothing, see nothing except for his broken body in the moonlight. Finally reaching camp, she careened down to the main clearing. She didn't have to time to find the medicine cat, "Help! Tigerblaze is out in the forest," she gasped for breath, "He's going to die!"

Gorsetalon, the huge ginger-and-white tabby tom, stood immediately. "What?" he hissed. "Is he hurt? What happened?" The tom strode over to the she-cat, his eyes blazing. "Tell me!"

"Yes, yes he's going to die! Please, come with me. We don't have much time," She mewed hoarsly. The red on her chest was made even brighter by the fresh blood that still shone on it. Got to hurry, got to hurry.. She raced through the forest as if she were gliding over the ground. "Come on!" When she reached Tigerblaze the situation was much the same, blood everywhere and Sweetfur's lifeless body in the middle of the hollow. "Save him, you have to."

Gorsetalon raced after Robinpaw, his eyes calm. "Tigerblaze..." he muttered, looking down at the tom. He barely noted Sweetfur's body, focusing only on the injured tom. "Robinpaw... I want you to get me..." He thought for a second. What did Medicine Cats use to stop bleeding? Ah yes! Cobwebs! "Get me cobwebs. Now. We need to stop the bleeding before anything else!" he mewed urgently, nudging Tigerblaze's pelt with his nose.

Cobwebs. The thought had barely registered in her mind when she had already found some. There in between a large cluster of rocks there was a huge tangle of cobwebs. Wrapping them around her shaking paw she stumbled back towards Gorsetalon. "Use these."

"Stand back." he growled, taking the sticky white mess of webs and placing them over his paw. His eyes roamed over Tigerblaze's body, searching for the most serious wounds. There was one on his throat...

Gorsetalong peeled a thin layer of webbing off his paw and placing it on the wound, gently poking it into place with a steady claw. The normally rough tom was being unusually soft. Maybe it was because this wasn't his first experience with this....?

Blood soaked through the cobweb, staining it red. He gingerly placed a second, then third, and then fourth, fifth, and sixth layer of the white web onto the wound, pressing it down, into the wound with one paw. He was trying to imitate what he'd seen Moonecho and Lostpaw do so many times before. So why did it feel like he was failing? That the younger tom's life was slipping away?

"He-he can't die.." Although she hated to admit it, her friend was dying. Ignoring Gorsetalon's orders she brushed her tail gently over Tigerblaze's orage flank. A silver tear fell and dropped onto his fur. Don't die one me.

"He won't die!" Gorsetalon snapped, his eyes flashing with anger that Robinpaw didn't have more faith in him. Oh... Well... Gorsetalon wasn't exactly the best warrior in ThunderClan... He was rarely even around... But... Still!

He peeled another layer of cobwebs off his paw, placing it onto Tigerblaze's throat. A small fear slid down his spine, as playful and irritating as a flea in his fur. What if he couldn't save Tigerblaze? What if he was only reassuring Robinpaw with empty promises?

The ginger tom growled. "You're not dying on me...." he hissed softly, placing a few more layers of webbing on his wound. "We can't get him back to camp... He'll bleed to death if we move him too soon."

Robinpaw stood there, frozen as her friend bled out his lifeblood.

OOC:Wow, this post is pretty pathetic.

"Don't just stand there like a dying fish! Go get more help!" he snapped, lashing his tail.

She dashed through the trees, reaching camp in no time. This time her plea for help was far less panic stricken. The rain was coming down hard, she was sure that no one would be out. A quick peek into the medicine cat den told her that no one was there. She sprinted over towards the warrior's den. "Quick, someone has to go out into the forest. Sweetfur's dead, Tigerblaze is almost there."

Paintpaw padded after Gorsetalon, she had been hunting with the older warrior earlier, then he had suddenly raced off. [Lets pretend] Where did he go? Paintpaw jogged her rather long and slim legs over to Robinpaw, and Gorsetalon. What were they doing? "Whats going on?" she asked, Robinpaw's face was full with distress and worry. "Are you okay?"

"No, Tigerblaze is dying. Follow me!" with that she bounded out into the forest. When she got there she noticed that Tigerblaze had stopped bleeding. He was breathing but not moving. "Oh no," she whimpered.
