Rise to the challenge? (Leopardpaw/sort of OPEN)

Silvercloud led her apprentice into the hollow, paws rigid and wide-spread, claws flexing. She turned on him when they reached the middle, voice booming around the clearing. She didn't believe him about meeting Blossompaw, never would. It was like a re-run of her life.
"If you can't be loyal to your clan in that way the least you can do is become a better warrior." Her blue eyes flashed with mischieve. "Show me the move I taught you. But this time show me how you would fight it against WindClan cats."

"Uh, Okay." Leopardpaw raced in a diagonal line of his teacher before swerving back towards Silvercloud and attempting to hook one of her fore paws with his claw, and then using his other forepaw to push her over. Because WindClan cats were smaller they could be easily thrown off balance and held down, and hopefully force them off.

Silvercloud bared her teeth as she prepared for the impact but, thinking like a WindClan cat, darted to one side, racing towards Leopardpaw's back. She stopped mid-way, eyes filled with no emotion. "A WindClan is more nimble then that. By the time you were trying to hook your paws they would be behind you, jumping on your back." She moved slightly to one side, demonstrating what should have been done. Her blue eyes flitted to the imaginary cat and, avoiding the diagonal way, boweled straight into it, lunging at forepaws while battling and ripping at fur. Silvercloud leaped away before turning back to Leopardpaw.

"Attack me."

Hopping backward from his mentor, panting lightly. Taking a step forward, at Silvercloud's command to attack he stopped. Then leaped in an arc towards hi teacher hoping to land on her shoulders with his claws sheathed, hoping to get a grip anyway, and pull his teacher to the ground, though she was a lot bigger than him, but he was strong still. His plan was to keep his mentor on the ground, like he would a normal opponent and then scratch her stomach, but with his claws sheathed it would be more like batting Silvercloud's stomach.

Silvercloud anticipated what he was going to do too late and, with a jolt, felt his heavy weight on her shoulders, pushing her to the ground. With a fluid movement, the she-cat twisted her hind legs, dropping shoulders downwards, shaking Leaopardpaw off harshly, hopefully sending him flying a few feet. She rolled onto one side, landing neatly on her paws for a downwards scoop, sheathed claws aiming for his front paws.

Leopardpaw rolled to the side after he was thrown off, and as he landed he immediately jumped back up, but the trick move of Silvercloud's brought him back the the ground slipping on his front paws. He quickly bounced back up standing up on his hind paws, and jumping over Silvercloud. Hoping to get behind her, so that he could jump and land on her back, though it required most of the speed he had.

Silvercloud reared up on her back paws, twisting her mid-section and batting down at Leopardpaw, plan being to knock him off his paws. As her apprentice leaped through the air the she-cat rolled to one side, hopefully avoiding whatever was to come. Quickly reaching back up on her paws, nipping and aiming for the front legs.

Jumping back from the bites from his mentor, he leader off of the ground aimed at Silvercloud who's stomach was completely exposed when standing on her hind paws. His dive would hopefully knock his mentor off her fit, and pin her to the ground, but he doubted she would stay down for long, because of how much bigger she was then him. Fighting Silvercloud was almost like fighting Flamestar, there was no chance he would win.

Silvercloud smirked slightly, allowing herself to be pinned to the ground, helping him almost. Her silver tail flicked as she quietly spun from around him, sliding out from beneath his legs, stripping his paws off of her shoulders. He was doing quite well for an apprentice. With a last heavy cuff on the side of his head and back across the face; the move she had taught him, Silvercloud walked slowly to the center of the hollow again, murmuing slightly. "You should know better then to leave such open space when pinning a cat down." Her mind flicked to the move she was taught when she was an older apprentice. "Watch and do."

Skidding on her back as she leaped to the floor, she she-cat swiped upwards with accuracy, ripping with both paws. Getting nimbly up to her feet, Silvercloud whipped around, leaping in a tall arc; landing square on the shoulders of the imaginary cat. Twisting her torso, she whipped off the side of the fake cat, imagining the fact that the cat could have rolled over and landed on her.

Leopardpaw smiled, even though his mentor didn't trust him, she still would teach him a great move like this. Copying Silvercloud in the beginning of the move he bounced him quickly, jumping into the air, copying as best he could to land on his invisible opponents shoulders, but fell short and toppled over, shaking dust off his pelt he repeated the move again, this time over shooting it and landing on the outskirts of the hollow. He would have to do this again until he got it right, and he was still exhausted from his 'play-fight' with Silvercloud, and the long hunting, plus his fight with Mountainpaw, if only he could just take a short nap.

Silvercloud watched with emotionless eyes as Leopardpaw tried the move again and again. "You can do better than that." She muttered; again dissapointed at how obviously tired he was. "Again."

This time a lot more Leopardpaw, copied the first move (That I really don't understand) then bounced up jumping clear through the air landing on his invisible opponents shoulder, twisting his torso so that he could throw his foe, belly up and back on the ground, and with that he would have a clear shot to seriously injure his opponent, his own add on to the move. "Was.. That good enough?" he mewed tiredly.

Silvercloud nodded silently; dipping her head slightly. "Yes. Now do it again. It must be perfect."

Leopardpaw repeated the move, this time with a lot more accuracy and speed. He padded back to his teacher, his shoulders slumped and head down, panting loudly. How much worse could this get, his back was already dark brown instead of a golden color, from the dust in the Training Hollow. It was so much work to just meet a cat secretly, and now he was paying for it, it definitely was a worse punishment than cleaning out the elders den.

Silvercloud watched her apprentice repeat the move she had previously shown, now with more speed and accuracy. When he padded drowsily over to her she mewed sternly. "You're not tired already ...? Are you?" Her maw turned smug and she told him to repeat the move again and again; then repeat the one for taking on two cats.

After the five consecutive trails of the new move he had it completely correct. But he was almost exhausted beyond belief. But he wouldn't give up, racing to the side of the clearing, he wheeled around jumping slightly, and hooking the paws of his first enemy, and diving to trip his second, both cats would fall to the ground leaving them open for attack, But Leopardpaw was to exhausted to move. His head was down and eyes slanted in anger, his jaws curling back baring his teeth.

Silvercloud cocked her head to one side, he seemed angry with her. The sun ws just beginning to go down as she padded towards him. "That's all for the day. I need to talk to you about Blossompaw." The she-cat looked at him with utterly serious eyes.

"Well, I don't." He growled, turning away from his teacher, and starting to pad away. All he wanted to do was sleep, and Silvercloud was obviously trying to punish him with these ridiculous tasks, no other apprentice had the burden he had, and he wished that he could just be a normal warrior. But no, he had to have met Blossompaw.

Silvercloud padded to Leopardpaw, speaking quietly and softly. "I know what it feels like ..." Emotion swept over her, like a literal tidal wave. Her paws were sluggish, slow and drawn-out.

"NO YOU DON'T!!!" He yowled turning back to his teacher, his anger mounting to it's limit, before it boiled over. "I have no friends, the clan think I'm a traitor, even you hate me!" he roared feeling his pelt bristle, and his skin crawl with plain rage.

Silvercloud refrained from meeting his angry tone; keeping composed and utterly calm. "I could never hate you Leopardpaw. You know that. I just don't want you to make the same mistake I made. I do know what it feels like ... I have always." Her paws kneaded the ground, slowing down slightly.

"What do you mean?" he mewed the edge in his voice still sharp. He sat down his shoulders slumped and ears flattened. It was hard to tell if he was sad, or just plain exhausted. Though he was interested in Silvercloud's story, she had done the something? If she had, then the whole clan would know about it and she would still be called a traitor.

Silvercloud's mind clicked back to her past; her love, the secret meetings. "You know what I mean Leopardpaw." She sighed as she planted herself on a sprout of grass. "His name was Cometblaze ..." Her blue eyes replayed her previous life, like a video on rewind.
"I loved him so much ... we were soul-mates. We were in a battle. Clan against clan. My home versus his. One of our warriors backed him towards the gorge and when he pounced ... I just w-watched." Her eyes brimmed with tears as she went on. "He went over the edge ... and never came back up again. I didn't try and stop the warrior ... I couldn't!" Silvercloud's body shook as sobs erupted.
"A moon later, someone told ThunderClan of our meetings ... I was called a traitor; un-loyal. Eventually, everyone forgot. Many cats who knew went to join StarClan ... now no one remembers. It was just so long ago ..."

Leopardpaw didn't even know what to say, if his teacher had met, a cat from another Clan, and payed the price for it, then what if he died, in a battle against Blossompaw? But he didn't love Blossompaw, did he? He couldn't love a cat from another Clan, they were just friend he told himself. Just friends, and that Mountainpaw, is just another enemy, so is Blossompaw. Their all enemies.

Silvercloud watched his dumbfounded, chuckling slightly before turning back to serious. "And so you see Leopardpaw ... meeting with cats from other clans just cause pain. You must stop." She murmured, honestly very concerned for her apprentice.
