Echopaw lay the apprentice down on the moss bed, reaching to chew a poultice of herbs for his scratches. Rubbing it slowly on, the she-cat looked up, testing his breathing. "How did you manage to get yourself so beat up?"

Mountainpaw didnt answer he was very angry to do it, he had been beaten up by Leopardpaw, he was furious that he couldnt get a mentor, he was furious that blossompaw wanted to leave Riverclan everything bothered him

Echopaw just sighed and continued placing poultices on his wounds, licking each one clean before adding the herb. "Your injuries are not fatal, but you will need to stay in my den for a good 1/4 moon."

Mountainpaw didnt respond he was still very angry, and everyone treated hime like a helpless kit

Nightjaw padded in with a rabbit in his mouth. He walked to Echopaw and dropped it here.
"Here." He mumbled. Thought you might be hungry." he turned to leave casting a glance at Mountainpaw as he left.

BlackClaw entered the Medicine Den just as MountainPaw was leaving. He sighed and turned to NightJaw.

"I heard he was back. How's he holding up?"

Shadowclaw exchanged a nod with Nightjaw as he padded into the den. He held a pigeon in his mouth. He glanced at the rabbit Nightjaw had just dropped and hurried out again to catch up with him.

"He should be fine soon. Back on his feet in less than half-a-moon." Echopaw mewed, a tinge of annoyance in her voice.

Nightjaw looked at the pigeon in Shadowclaws mouth and let a small smile spread across his face.
"Beat you to it" He turned to look at Shadowclaw, the smile gone. "I'm going hunting. Want to come?" The worries in his head where begining to make him dizzy and he hoped hunting would clear his head.

"Anytime!" Shadowclaw mewed with excitment. "Last one to the training hollow is a piece of crowfood!" As he raced out he dropped his piece on the pile.
