Canyon Return

Jadeclaw limped into camp. He skipped the medicine cat's den and went into the warriors den to sleep.

Smallpaw padded up to the camp entrance.
They're gunna hate me for my carelessness getting the deputy hurt...
Smallpaw went in and plopped down in the Apprentices Den, skipping dinner.

Amberpaw stalked into the camp, her tail still lashing in anger. I'll find you, wolf... she thought aggressively. Turning to Smallpaw, she asked. "Are you okay?" looking into her friend's eyes, she saw her gaze was troubled. "What's wrong?"

"Huh?" Smallpaw mewed in suprize.
"Umm... Oh... Nothing...." She mewed half-heartedly, staring off at something she could only see.

Amberpaw's tail waved in annoyance. "Okay... if you insist there's nothing wrong..." she mewed as she padded toward the apprentices den. Her strange gift of knowing what others felt came to her again. There's something wrong. I know it. And I'm going to get to the bottom of it! Amberpaw decided as she settled in a nest. With one last worried look at Smallpaw, she allowed sleep to take her.

Mountainstar saw Jadeclaw and walked up to him. "Jadeclaw, I must tell you something. This is something my old mentor taught me. Hunting and battling is not what you are made of, but what lies inside your heart and how you act. Think about it."he mewed and turned to let him think and walked away. Then he just fell to the ground and slept for some reason. It was a StarClan Message, a cat turned around and started talking, it was Crookedstar. One will fall, one will rise the death of many will come. Only one shall stop this. One won't, the great battle will rage through the heartlands.One will be revealed as ones kin. The Darkest Hour is coming. "That is the Darkest Hour Prophecy Mountainstar, it is your job to try and stop it and figure it out." he said and then disappeared. When he woke up he was in the medicine cats den with cats looking at him. "It is ok, I didn't lose a life." he mewed.

Smallpaw was just returning from hunting with the bear in mouth when she saw Jadeclaw and Mountainstar talking. I wonder what it's about....
She dragged the bear to the pile, and took a mouse for heraelf.

Leafsong examined her leader closely. "Hmm..." She peered under his eyes. "It's okay. He was just in a trance. He's going to be fine. All cats, by order of your medicine cat, leave this den immediatly." Leafsong ordered, gesturing with her tail toward the exit. As the other cats filed out, she saw the tom wake up. "It's okay, I didn't loose a life." he said. "I know so, for I am your medicine cat. Was it a message from Starclan?" Leafsong mewed, anxious to tell the leader about her own message.

Leafsong's ears twitched. "I have also received a message from Starclan."

"Can you tell me it later, I am going to go check out the borders, after that you can tell me, ok." he mewed.

Smallpaw's ears twitched as she thought she heard a battled cry...
She got up and went over to her leader.
"Umm... Mountainstar..." She mewed.
