Hunting Near Udder Borders (Wolv)

Barkfur was hunting by the Gathering Place, which was in ThunderClan territory. She dangerously close to ShadowClan territory. She was hoping she'd see the tom again. He had a knack for wandering, she could tell. She stumbled upon a dying thrush in the tree. It looked pathetically scrawny, it would have to good enough. Every cat had to be grateful for all prey in Leaf-bare. She clawed up the tree, the thrush tried to flap away, but it ended up just falling out of the tree to its death. She jumped down after it and buried it.

Thistlefur wandered over to the border nearest the Gathering Place. He remembered his journey to Thunderclan and wondered what became of that she-cat. Barkfur? Yeah that was it.

Barkfur lifted her head to scent the air once more. Only this time, she didn't smell prey. ShadowClan! she rushed over to the border and scanned the horizon, what do you know, that same ShadowClan tom was there.

Thistlefur looked around wistfully and saw a shape in the distance. He began to walk toawrds it, curious. It was only when he was closer did he recognize the cat. "Barkfur? What are you doing here?"

Barkfur dipped her head in greeting. "Hunting, you?" she asked, a wry smile upon her face.

"Eh...." Thistlefur thought about it. WHat was he doing? "Just...Wandering I guess?" He meowed a little sheepishly.

"I hope on your own territory, Thistlefur. I might not be so forgiving this time." Barkfur warned, still a friendly smile as she sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws.

"I am. But your not? The gathering Place is nobody's territory.." Thistlefur meowed.

"Exactly. I have as much right as any other cat to be here, you can too." Barkfur stood invitingly. They sat a fox-length away from each other, why couldn't they talk face-to-face on neutral territory? She waved her tail from her side and pointed it to the Clearing. "Where would you like to go?" she asked.

"Not sure.." Thistlefur had no clue about nything anymore. He had found his own world, and was only semi-counsious of the real one.

"We come over here. No need to worry about Clan differences. This is a place for cats of all Clans." Barkfur chuckled softly.

"Er...?" Thistefur quickly snapped back into reality. 'Ok.. I gues its fine...|

"I think Leaf-bare is finally pulling to end. I've found more prey today then any other time, ever during Leaf-bare. How's prey running for ShadowClan?" Barkfur asked, looking in the bushes, she could spot a mouse nibbling among the leaves. She resisted not to take it, since this territory is neutral, she shouldn't steal the prey here.

"Fine, better than it was for sure." Thistlefur had also seen the mouse and was slightly stiff, watching it, hoping it would leave soon. "Even so, I'm looking forward to New-leaf. We have some kits tha are ready to be apprenticed, and I think that its the best time of year to begin training. The prey practically jumps into your mouth."

"Yes." Barkfur nodded agreement. "It must be impossible to start in Leaf-bare, it diminishes your hope. Speaking of which, my apprentice Mistpaw is almost ready to become a warrior." she boasted, her chest swelling with pride for her young apprentice.

"Congratulations." Thistlefur meowed. He debated if he should tell her about the strange sickness that had affected all the kits or not. It felt strange talking so openly to a cat of another clan. Even at gatherings he wasn't usualy this friendly. I wonder why Thunderclan and Shadowclan hate each other so much? This Barkfur doesn't seem that bad and she can't be the only one.

"Yes. Do you have an apprentice?" Barkfur asked, Thistlefur was better to talk to than any other warrior in camp. Maybe it would be better if the clans didn't take the boundaries so seriously.

"No, not yet. But I'm hoping to get one soon for as I said, our kits are all ready to be apprentices." Thistlefur purred. He wasn'nt much of a talker and prefered to listen. Barkfur seemed to have much to say.

Barkfur nodded. She wanted to know more of ShadowClan, it seemed she didn't know a thing about it. Really, she didn't. "Any other news?" she asked, trying not to sound like she was spying.

Thisltefur's ears twitched. "I'm affraid I'm not much of a social cat. As you can tell I'm more of a wanderer... We do have a new warrior thoguh.." He meowed, remembering Silverpelt. He wouldn't metion she used to be a loner though.

"Really? Who? I don't remember Redstar announcing any new warriors last Gathering." Barkfur mewed. "Speaking of which, I want to try something. Come on." Barkfur smiled, racing into the clearing. She gazed up at the leader trees.

Thisltefur looked up at the tree in awe, alreading knowing what Barkfur ment to do. "Your not serious?" He chocked unsurely.

"Very." Barkfur smiled, launching up into the tree to reach the first branch. "Come on!" she smiled, urging her new friend with her tail.
