Hunting Near Udder Borders (Wolv)

Thistlefur looked around quickly, then sprung, his paw only just catching the side of the branch. Another quater mouse-length and he would have missed. "Clumsy." He whispered to himself bitterly. He put his other paw on it and hauled himself up, looking down.

"This is great!" Barkfur whispered, gazing down. "Lets get higher." she looked at Thistlefur quickly before climbing up higher.

Thislefur sighed and lept, climbing each branch with growing interest. Once he got used to the jumping and pulling it was easier, and soon he was catching up to the Thunderclan warrior.

Barkfur reached the top, and each bush in the clearing looked like ants. "Wow!" she gasped. "It's beautiful up here!" she gazed at the setting sun. It's golden rays blood-red, the night sky mingling with the day. It turned the clouds a purple-red.

"Wow..." There was nothing else Thistlefur could say. His eyes widened as he saw the sky.

"Hey Thistlefur, what do you think it would be like to fly like a bird?" Barkfur asked. "It is Thistlefur, right?"

"Mmm..." Thistlefur looked at the sky. "It depends of how you look at it. There are pros and cons..."

"I would love to try." Barkfur shut her eyes, seeing the clouds in the sky as she headed towards the falling sun. "With the wind going through your fur, to see everything high in the sky..." she almost fell out of the great tree, but she dug her claws into its rough, ancient bark.

Thistlefur looked up. There was still some way to go, but the branches where noticably thinner. They probably wouldn't take their weight. Shrugging slightly, he turned and watched the sun setting.

Bakfur opened her eyes again, after the gentle breeze gave. It was almost twilight now. "We should probably go." she sighed, hating to give up the great moment.

"Yeah. You got a long way home."to and a half fox-leangths away from the ground when he trod on a paticularly slippy branch and fell, hitting the ground before he could react. "Ouch..."

Barkfur leaped down the branches, avoiding over the branch Thistlefur landed on. She skidded to a stop as she hovered over his face. Nice eyes. she thought to herself. "Are you okay?" she asked, her tail swishing back and forth with worry.

"Fine. Stupid branch." Thistlefur meowed, twitching. He sat up and looked around. It was nearly dark.

"Good. Thank StarClan you didn't fall from a higher branch." Barkfur slowly rose to her paws, a smiling coming to her mouth again. "I guess I'll go now." she mewed.

"Alright. See ya I guess..." Thistlefur stood up and walked towards the Shadowclan border then looked back.

An idea popped into Barkfur's head, a spur of the moment kind of idea. "Hey..." she stammered. "Do you want to meet here again? It could be fun." she suggested, not trying to force the answer out of Thistlefur, but enough to get him from walking away.

"Sure. I had fun. Nobody would realize I was gone I guess. I'm always wondering." Thistlefur purred. "But I'm going to have to try and catch something now. A full days hunting nd I've only caught a mouse!" Whith thay he ducked under a bush and was gone.

Barkfur finally let out a fluent purr. She had a friend outside of her Clans, but now she would have to get one more thing before she went back to camp. How would she explain her whereabouts? I can't tell anyone, they wouldn't understand. We're just friends. Now, back to that mouse... she began the trek home and picked up her mouse.
