Hunting (OPEN TO Mosspaw, Naruto, Sandfur, River/Madhatter/Sniffy)

Waterstorm pounded through the moor, then stopped after being a decent distance out. "Mosspaw, tell me what you smell." He meowed to the apprentice, Mosspaw was getting closer and closer to becoming a warrior, and he needed all of the training that he could get.

Mosspaw took in a deep breath of the air. He could smell the new grass on the ground, mouse, and rabbit. He smelled the air again to check how fresh. The rabbit was somewhat fresh, gone by now, but still fresh. The mouse was probably a day stale, so he had no chance of catching it. "Rabbit, and fresh"

Waterstorm smelled the air as well, and Mosspaw was correct; there was a somewhat fresh scent of rabbit. "Go get it." he meowed.

"What?!" Mosspaw exclaimed, "just go find it? It could be long gone by now!"

"As if I care? You're hungry. The clan's hungry. I'm hungry. There's nothing else that you can smell, so go get it!"

Mosspaw stared blankly at Waterstorm, before stalking fourth, in search of the prey that he knew that he'd never catch.

Liontail watched the scene between mentor and apprentice. Yeah, live could be hard during training. He sniffed the air for himself. The rain washed away most of the smells. Then he caught a movement in the edge of his eye. He turned, pressed himself to the ground, crouched forward and then saw the little bird who sat in a bush in the open moorland. He was not good at hunting birds, but he will try. He crouched forward until he was in reach and then used his mighty body to jump on it. Like a lion he fall down on the bird. And that was meant literally. He had miscalculated his jump a bit, so, instead of catching the bird with his paws or jaws, he landed on it befor it could move. He felt it struggle under him, so cautiously he moved away from it and instantly pressed a paw on it and killed it. That was the funniest kill he ever did. Has the others watched the scene? Hopefully not... Embraced, he returned to his party.
