Training

Griffinshade bounded through the forest, as if he were a little kit. Strangely he felt exhilerated, joyous for no reason at all. It might of been because he secretly found some catnip in the territory. He felt a little loopy, but he didn't care. He chased his stubby tail for a few moments then decided to stalk an invisible mouse like a little kit learning from an apprentice.

"Uh... Griffinshade?" Came the questioning voice of Feralpelt from behind. She tilted her head and looked down at the tom. She had come from not too far away, and had seen him when she looked through a bush, on a search for prey. She knew there wasn't any here. So what was he doing?

Griffinshade was humming a lovely tune for his own enjoyment when he heard Feralpelt. He kept wiggling his little stub of a tail and looked at the she-cat as he sat down, pounding his hind legs on the ground like a rabbit to the tune he hummed, keeping the tempo. "Yes?" he stopped his song for a brief moment, then continued as he waited for a reply.

"What are you doing?" He was acting odd. Acting... happy. He had an odd spring in his step that you don't see from a cat like him. "Something good happen, or what?" Had to? Right? You just don't wake up this way. There was always a reason.

Griffinshade let his head bounce and his leg thump harder, making the tempo quicken. He hopped to his feet and hopped around, his steps in tune with the melody. "Nope." he kept on with his musical dance and nodded his head to and fro.

"Then what's up with you!" Feralpelt asked, concern in her voice. What was wrong with this cat? Was he going looney? Good StarClan she hoped he wasn't. They didn't need a crazy and irritable cat in their midst. He was really freaking her out...

Griffinshade laughed, bounding up to her. "Dance with me!" he mewed with a great smiled on his face, to dancing a bit. He wasn't going as fast though, that catnip was wearing out.

"Um... okay?" Feralpelt didn't actually know how to dance, and just looking at Griffinshade, she thought she look like an idiot doing it. But she didn't know what was up with that cat, he might suddenly snap at her for not doing it. So she just copied his moves.

Shouldn't she be doing something else? Like hunting? THis was ridiculous! But could she leave him in his state of... what seemed like insanity? No. No she couldn't.

ooc: ik, you should bring him in. I can't believe I'm actually have him do this. xd

Griffinshade bounded about, leaping from one place to another with a prancing trot to his step. He continued his hum, a purr intermingled with it. He had a grand smile upon his face and his eyes were closed in content.
After a few moments, he felt a tingle in his mind but he kept on, slowing his tempo a bit.

"Griffinshade? Don't you think we should stop this?" Feralpelt asked, slowing down as she started to think about stopping. This was just all too odd. She stopped dead cold when she saw a pair of eyes looking at them through the undergrowth. StarClan, could this get worse?

"So this is what you guys do in your spare time?" Kestrelpaw stepped out of the bushes. Now that he's been spotted, there was no need to hide. He looked over at Griffinshade. This just made him have less credibility that Kestrelpaw had already offered him.

"I'm happy you see, no need to flee, I live in a tree!" he rambled his melody, the pain in his head growing stronger until he found that his lips stopped. He opened his eyes to find that his whole world was spinning uncontrolabley. He stumbled a bit, his paws unsteady and wobbling, afraid of the soil. He fell on his side, not a single grunt coming from his body. He groaned, his head throbbing as he was becoming sober once more. "Great StarClan." he groaned, his eyes clamped shut. After a few moments, bored of being in pain, he opened them to see Kestrelpaw, the young tom was glaring at him. The pain made him short-tempered and he was not in the mood to be stared at. "What are you looking at?" he growled, mumbling as he placed a paw on his sore head.

OOC: *imagines a cat putting a paw on it's forehead* ... Odd.

"Watching you two make fools out of yourseves," Kestrelpaw said in a grim tone. Not only was he sharing his mentor, but he was a complete idiot too. How terrible. So, so terrible. He was now the apprentice with half of an idiotic mentor. How... great.

"You were acting very... odd, Griffinshade," Feralpelt said with an exasperated sigh. Oh, not only had she done it, but she was caught doing it too, and by an apprentice who'd only been in the game for... she didn't know, a moon maybe.

How terrible...

Head pounding, everything was in a blur, but he tried his best to clear it away by blinking furiously. He forced himself to sit up and take great gulps of air, hoping it would chase away the pain. He shook his head, his massive frame cutting through the air for a few seconds. "Never again will I even look at catnip." he growled, angry at the herb. He couldn't remember a thing, but he was sure that it had something to do with it. "What did I do?" he asked Feralpelt, knowing she wouldn't explode on him.

Catnip! That's what it was? How silly! But wait... why was he munching on valuable catnip? Oh well, that was a matter for another day. "You were swaying around and dancing and saying... rhymy type things." Last thing he said was something about a tree.

"This is embarrassing." Kestrelpaw grumbled as he started to walk from the two cats. Didn't they hae shame?

Griffinshade growled and shook his head furiously, standing up groggily. He glared Kestrelpaw, "I don't understand that cat." he muttered under his breath. He looked at Feralpelt, "Thanks." he mewed, "I've got to get some hunting done." he growled at the ferns ahead of him, scenting for prey. He took a few steps and stumbled, almost loosing his balance. He took a moment and gulped down some air, hoping to clear his foggy mind.
