Barkfur smiled, "Hope is the spark of all dreams. As long as you hope, your promised dreams." she mewed, speaking of wisdom far beyond her seasons.

Branchtwist, roaming around ThunderClan territory at whatever timeit was for no particular reason, was having a great time. Yes, yes. The warrior was having his grand day get even grander. But, because of a lack of muse, he heard voices near! Gasp! Voices!? Of who!? Anyone could be talking about anything. Maybe they wanted to keep it to themselves, but for the sake of something he just had to check it out. No doubt someone was doing something wrong. It was just IMPOSSIBLE to have a private conversation. You can have oneof those in camp! At least, as far as every cat doing what Branchtwist was doing now was concerned.

He marched through the ferns or whatever concealed the two, and, without knowing what's going on because Member sure didn't try and read this thread, he yelled: "Hey! What's going on here?" He waited until they answered, so he knew what was going on, and all seriosuness could be restored.

Barkfur ducked down, "Stay quiet and stay down." she hissed. She began rummaging through the leaves, pretending that she knew nothing. She rose her head, "Oh hey Branchtwist, I was just tree hunting. It's always been a favorite hobby of mine." she smiled at the young warrior, maybe she could fool him.

Branchtwist frowned. Tree hunting? Favorite? Hobby? Of? Mine? Pfft. Nobody talked like that. Who in the world said: "It's a favorite hobby of mine," after they finished? As if it were so perfectly natural. Hunting isn't a hobby! You don't do it for fun! If they did it for fun no one would hunt!

"Mhm." He said as he peered into the three. For some strange, unexplainable reason. He thought the other side was suspicious. Not only was Barkfur suspicious, but... bah! It come to his attention, instead of just taking the perfectly good answer and leaving, that there had to be something up. Oh yes. Oh yes there was!

With his super power of spontaneous knowing, he'd figure out the perfect disguise as if it were an everyday thing, or that he was an expert at figuring stuff out. You know, because that's just normal. To be suddenly suspicious. That didn't make you look crazy at all. Not at all!

"There's somebody up there, isn't there?" He said, his face in one that looked both skeptical and accusing.

Barkfur's blood turned to ice, but she didn't let that show. She cocked her head to one side, "There's no one up here but me, Branchtwist. Are you feeling alright? Maybe you should see Lostpaw." she suggested, pretending to be concerned for him.

"I'm feeling mighty satirical today," he mewed. He looked at her closely. Mm. There is was again, that spontaneous knowing. You know, that no reason feeling he got last time. Heh. How much could he bet the next cat who asked him that Barkfur didn't appreciate his accusation.

Meh, he was getting bored, though. "Lostpaw? No, I don't need to see Lostpaw. I feel positively fine. It may be you who needs an appointment." But not with Lostpaw.

OOC: I feel the same way, Branchy does...

Thistlefur pressed himself against the branch, thankful that his pelt was the same colour as that of the bark, and that he had rolled iin Starclan knows what.

Barkfur looked at the young tom as if he had three tails, "Why would I need an appointment with Lonepaw? I feel fine." she almost growled. She was getting a bit testy with the cat's suspicions. She never thought having a mate in a different Clan would be so hard.

"I wasn't actually thinking Lostpaw, but," he shrugged. Eh. "So, what's going on Barkfur?" Branchtwist asked, his tone and intentions friendly, though it may not have felt like it with his probing. He looked behind him for no reason at all, and then back at Barkfur. What an odd acting cat.

Barkfur shrugged coolly "Not much, I missed a thrush a couple moments ago. In fact, I was trying to pick up it's scent when you came along." she grinned, one that just spelled victory. She had pulled it off, she fooled Branchtwist, or so she thought.

Thistlefur's eyes darted arround. WHat shoud he do? Move, go asway of course. But that could be dangerous; he might be spotted. If he waited, could he get off with pretending to be astealing prey? It would get him into trouble, but at leasdt Barkfur would be safe.
