Goldenkit's Apprenticeship

Wolfstar leaped up to the Rockledge, preparing to call out to the rest of the clan. It was before sunhigh, but the sun still shone into the clearing, giving it a warm, cheerful feeling. Cats were entering and leaving the camp, off to hunt or patrol. "All cats who are old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Rockledge for a Clan Meeting!" Wolfstar yelled out.

Today was the day for Goldenkit to be apprenticed. He had been a bit of a problem in the past, but he was strong, and would make a good apprentice, and later warrior, Wolfstar reflected. He just needs to learn a little bit more obedience. As the cats gathered underneath, Wolfstar said," Today is the day that a kit will be apprenticed. He has caused problems in the past, but I feel he is ready. Goldenkit, step forward, please."

Goldenkit proudly marched forward and looked at his leader with pride. Goldenkit never had a mother, and never had denmates. He would finally have cats to play with, friends to eat with. He wouldn't be alone, even though his "Mother" Moontail, said she would like to help raise him, he never really fitted in, and his 'adventure' with Watertail did not help his reputation.



ooc: Spottedheart, your cue.

Watertail looked up at wolfstar addresing the clan, and then he looked at Goldenkit. I wish i could mentor him, but ever since the adventure, I'm not so sure. Watertail was happy for Goldenkit though. Another apprentice is always good.

Goldenkit waited for Wolfstar to address someone as his mentor, his patience was wearing thin.





ooc: I really don't care who mentors Goldenkit, just pick someone!

OCC: Can someone finish this so Golden " Paw " can have a mentor!

ooc: dude, no offense, but I would really like wstar to decide. I can understand you tryin to rush this though, wolf is taking forever.

OCC: sorry I was waiting for him to but..... I got bored sorry.

Wolfstar waited for Goldenkit to step forward, then spoke. "From this day forward until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Goldenpaw." He looked up, into the crowd, searching, as they chanted Goldenpaw's name. "Watertail," Wolfstar called out. He looked up. "You had a good mentor in Owlflight, and I trust you to pass on all you have learned to Goldenpaw and help him become a warrior the Clan can be proud of." Wolfstar stepped back.

Goldenpaw walked up to Watertail to touch noses with his new mentor. Then he backed up about one mouselength from him after.

Watertail touched nosses proudly, he always dreamed of having an apprentice. ''I will teach you everything i know'' He said to Goldenpaw.
