The bored warrior

Shinespark padded out to the clearing, she went over and grabbed a plump mouse and sat over by the warriors den. The she-cat was bored. She wasn't on any patrols or hunting trips...If only there was something to do around here...It is always boring. Being an apperentice sucked, but at least you did something with your mentor all the time. I wonder if any of those sleepy warriors would get up already, or if the dawn patrol returned.......

Frostheart, the nervous little tom, sat a ways away from Shinespark staring at the Camp Entrance, but occasionally casting a loving gaze at Shinespark. How could so much beauty be put in one she-cat. He wished he had the courage to talk to her, but... He was spineless, and afraid to speak up most times, no one ever noticed him. Licking his chest fur and shaking his head at the self-esteem crushing thoughts. No, you're a nice guy, you may not be handsome like some toms... But your hearts in the right place!

Clovernose shook herself awake after she came from the warriors den. Her pelt was bristling when she did, but it quickly flattened back into place. She was hungry, and right after she ate she would go out in the territory like she always did... looking, watching, waiting.

She padded over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a mouse and laid down. She started back towards the warriors den, she'd eat her mouse there. That's when she noticed Shinespark. She tilted her head when she got close to the cat, as if to ask her if she was bored or not.

Shinespark slowly finished her meal, she got up just about to head out of camp when she noticed Frostheart sitting by himself. He looked sad or worried about something. Talking to him is better than nothing! She padded over and sat next to him....

"Hello Frostheart." she meowed to the tom...

"Oh... uh sorry, I was just leaving." meowed Frostheart quietly standing up as Shinespark sat down, embarrassment, and nervousness prickled his spine. And he could feel his pelt fluffing up. He tried to calm himself down, he stepped back a pace trying not to look the gorgeous she-cat in the eyes, afraid he would get all clumsy again. Instead he turned preparing to leave.

Mouse still in her jaws, Clovernose watched as Shinespark got up and walked over to Frostheart. She was completely ingored! Clovernose narrowed her eyes and she watched Shinespark walk off, but then shrugged her shoulders. If she was ignored then that meant she wasn't being payed attention to. Exactly what she was going for! With a sort of grin she walked into the warriors den to finish her meal, afterwords she'd go out in the territory away from her clanmates.

"You don't have to leave, I was going to talk to you!" she called to the seemed to be 'frighten' tom, did he not like her? She watched as his pelt fluffed, he must be embarrassed of something, but I did was sit down...?

What was the matter?

"Oh... okay... Uh... Hi?" he managed to stammer out of his mouth licking his chest fur down, his eyes clouded with nervousness. She thinks I'm a freak. Just like everyone else. No! Shut up, mouse-brain, have some courage, and don't be such a wimp, you're never like this on the battle field.

"Hi, umm..... Any thing new with you??" she asked. Frostheart seemed to calm down and maybe she would get a good conversation going with him...... What would make this less akward????? Hunting?

Dawnfur lay in the sun with her new brons beside her. They pawed at her belly and occasionally bit her when trying to find a teat. Blazekit, the oldest, staryed from her mothers side. She pounced on a small ball of moss kicking up dust behind her as she went.

Thunderfeather padded through the clearing,noticing Frostheart for the first time beside Shinespark. "Hey,"she grumbled,moving past them.

Ravenfeather sat down beside Dawnfur."Hi Dawnfur.Hi kits."

"Umm....Maybe I should go seeing that you are busy...." Shinespark meowed to the tom, he seemed, not there......

"Uh.. No, no stay!"

Thunderfeather sighed and sat down a ways from the others,deep in thought. Riverleaf....are you still there? Then she shook her tabby head. He said it himself. "I don't love you. I never have. Now go!" His voice crooned in her head. She felt a small prick at her heart. He never did...but why did he let me on? She could just imagine his tabby and white pelt beside her...his warm smile welcoming her back from the hunt. Even though you don't love me....I still miss you,you old fool.

"Wow....A lot of cats woke up...Do you wanna go hunting?" she suggested hoping that Frostheart would show his true colours, what he was really like.....He always seemed shy and embarrassed...She needed o brighten him up, bring in some fun!

"Uh... Sure." sputtered Frostheart smiling a little, he was actually going hunting with a beautiful she-cat. It was almost like a date, but... Not really. She probably didn't even know Frostheart liked her.
