Battered and Broken

The weakened elder, who once had been the picture of health and beauty. Was reduced to a sickly, old hag. She wasn't beautiful anymore, it wasn't like beauty mattered. The floods had taken all the strength she had had before, and her children. All three of them. Even though she was still fairly young, she had no strength to be a warrior anymore, all hope had dried out of her. And she paved the way for a new younger generation. Her mate, Flamestar had perished and so had Jayfang, mangled and torn apart by wolves, foxes, and Nightstar himself. Now it was Littlestar who took the mantle, and the elder actually found promise in the spunky tom. She just hoped he wouldn't end up like all the others. Dead.

She rested in her den, the other elders had perished of old age, or drowning, and now she was left. Already she found it rather boring. She had nothing to do, and the storm outside was not yielding in the slightest. The cold chilled her to the bone, and she turned away from it. And saw a fiery pelt in front of her, a massive tom, stood before her. "Flamestar?" the tom smiled and disappeared. Angrily she hissed at nothing. Already came the horrible hallucinations that taunted her. The ghosts of her poor life... Ugh... What was left of her now?

Littlestar walked into the Elder's Den. He loved visiting the elders. They were so... intersting, yes? No? Maybe? Ah... he liked it anyways. He wanted to meet one elder in particular, Wildtail. She was the first elder.... elder'd since he became leader, and he was, for some reason, copelled to talk to her.

He walked up to the old she-cat whose appearence changed from her age. "Hello, Wildtail." He greeted her. She seemed a little, irritated? Angry? He wasn't sure.

"Wildtail,"Hollypaw called a greeting before coming into the den,a fat mouse swinging from her jaws. "I brought you some prey." She saw the elder hiss at nothing and she thought,Has she lost it?

"Hello,Littlestar."
