watching the world (golden)

As Cinderpaw ran she was exited to show her best friend her secret hideout "Okay i think you will love this place!" she exclaimed to Griffonpaw.

"Come on! I don't have all day, Cloudfrost says I still have to take care of the elders!" Griffonpaw meowed as he climbed up after Cinderpaw, wondering where he was being taken.

"It's a secret place you cant tell anyone!" she whispered. she climbed a rock and on the other side was a small indent in a hill barely visible because it was covered in heather reads.

Griffonpaw smiled at the chance they might get into trouble. "Things just got better." he growled as he followed Cinderpaw. "This looks cool."

"thanks" looking at the steep hill she started on the edge of the dirt.

"What is it?" the young brown tom asked as he pushed aside the reeds. Griffonpaw peered inside "A den or something?"

"kinda, its a old sparrow den it hasn't been used since we were Little." Cinderpaw said

"Cool. We can make this into a great hideout, we just gotta make it bigger." Griffonpaw looked at Cinderpaw with a great mischievous smile on his face.

Cinderpaw looked at him as greatly. "It's our space like a den almost." she said happily.

Griffonpaw shrugged. "Sure, I guess. But I was thinking of how much fun we could have. We could go here whenever we're bored and fight or something." at that moment he lunged forward to tackle Cinderpaw playfully. "Like this!"

"okay" even though Cinderpaw was distracted she was still alert. she dodged his attack and when she dodged she turned and knocked him down.

Griffonpaw was still standing, his greater weight stopped Cinderpaw from pulling him down. He looked at Cinderpaw happily and burst out laughing. "Well, anyway, that's what this thing is for then." he giggled. "You wanna fix it up now?"

"yeah" inner Cinderpaw: oh yeah now i get to hang out with Griffonpaw! "sure lets leave the heather though we dont want anyone else to know it's there."

"Yeah, I don't some dumb kits finding this place, thinking it's all theirs." Griffonpaw growled, starting to move some dirt out of the den, making it bigger. I finally have a good friend, other than Cloudfrost. At least Cinderpaw's my own age!

Cinderpaw saw his determination "don't tire yourself I'm not going to be the one to drag you back to camp!" she joked as she helped dig.

"Are you kidding? I've got plenty of energy to spend. Cloudfrost's got me all excited. He told me I'm ready to be warrior." Griffonpaw boasted, smiling at Cinderpaw.

"you are you are very determined! And strong, smart calm,cool and handsome." Cinderpaw said accidentally.

Griffonpaw looked at her, "Er...Thanks?" he mewed confused. "Well, you are quick, and agile, and you're fur is really soft." he blurted out, Better just play along.

inner cinderpaw oh yeah! that was to nice of him! "thank you Griffonpaw she said as she returned to digging.

Griffonpaw too returned to digging, taking large chunks of dirt out of one side until it was a curved hollow. "My side's done, how's yours?" he asked. As he backed out of the den to check out Cinderpaw's side of the hole, he brushed against her side. "Woops." he muttured as his fur shot hot.

"It's okay. my side is almost done im making another place for any prey i want to store." Cinderpaw laughed.

Griffonpaw nodded. "We should make a spot where water will come in. I'll get started on that." the young tom made a spot where water would come in and fill a deep hole. He filled the bottom with a flat rock so the water wouldn't sink through the soil. "How's that?" he asked.

"that is really great!" she exclaimed "hey lets make thist place go down a little farther into the hill Cinderpaw said as she ran to the back and dug.

"Great idea!" Griffonpaw jumped the fox-length to the back and dug furiously, his claws slashing through the loosely pack earth.

"I've never shown this place to anyone before but you are my best friend." Cinderpaw said awkwardly.
