"I might just need to." Cinderpaw smiled at his offering. she had no idea a friend could care so much.

Griffonpaw smiled, this had been the happies moon he'd ever had. "You start, I'll be right next to you."

"okay." Cinderpaw said as she started to walk, almost stumbling remembering when she was apprenticed and when her and Griffonpaw met, to the point where they were best friends.

"Easy." Griffonpaw pushed his shoulder up against hers, keeping her from tumbling over. "Are you sure you can do this? We could just stay here for the day."

"I can do this I just need you though, and if we stay the whole time the clan will think we ran off together." Cinderpaw joked.

"Well, it wouldn't be too bad if that did happen. I'd be with you anyway." Griffonpaw mewed, letting his thoughts slip. He remained walking, though he couldn't meet Cinderpaw's eyes as he waited for her outraged reaction.

Cinderpaw smirked, not knowing what to say what was he trying to say? was he trying to say something? "i guess it would be fun." she thought out-loud. "Being with each other. But i could never be to far away from my clan" she said.

"Yeah, I guess not." That was close. She didn't even care, should I tell her? "But I'd rather hang out with you then take care of some old elder I don't even know in the Clan." Griffonpaw continued the slow walk unsure of his next words. "Hey Cinderpaw, I think I love you."

Cinderpaw almost fell over "what!?" she almost yelled.

Griffonpaw's fur flashed hot with embarrassment. "Nothing, it was dumb." he mewed. Stupid furball. He scolded himself, he looked at his paws.

"no say it again!" she yelled "I love you too!" she said loudly.

Griffonpaw looked up in surprise "What? You're not joking are you?" he meowed in surprise. His eyes were wide and he couldn't shut his muzzle.

"I just didn't think you loved me back!" she said happily.

Griffonpaw rubbed his head against her pelt. "Of course I do." he purred happily. "Come on, let's get back to camp, I don't want Cloudfrost to have a heart attack." he joked.

"if he hasn't already had one" Cinderpaw joked as she started on her way back.

"Yeah." Griffonpaw laughed. He kept padding along, he soon saw the camp in the distance and his smile turned to a frown. They would have to depart soon, he to his duties and Cinderpaw to the Medicine Den. "There's camp." he muttured, loud enough for her to hear.

"maybe if you tell them that we love each-other they will let you stay with me because i don't want to leave you or my clan." Cinderpaw said to Griffonpaw.

Griffonpaw shook his head. "I don't think that would be such a great idea. Not many cats are in love, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be happy if they found out if we were. We'll just have to wait." Griffonpaw sighed, keeping his paws moving though he wanted to be stuck in mud.

"yeah you have a point but we will have to find a way to see each other." Cinderpaw meowed. "now that i have found you i can't part with you for long." she half-joked.

Griffonpaw smiled. "I'll check up on you in the Medicine Den. It's not like we're in different Clans or something." They neared the entrance, barely a tail-length away from it.

"yeah." Cinderpaw came near the entrance when she saw her friend Steamyeyes "Cinderpaw what happened!?" she yelled "i thought you were dead!" she said even louder.

"No. She wasn't feeling well yesterday so we stayed in the territory for the night." Griffonpaw meowed to Steamyeyes.

"oh no. We need to get you to the medicine den. come on!" Steamyeyes said to Cinderpaw. but Cinderpaw paused and whispered "i love you." to Griffonpaw "can i tell steamyeyes? she is my best friend." she asked Griffonpaw.

"I wouldn't suggest it, but if she can keep her mouth shut I guess." Griffonpaw whispered back. Griffonpaw gave one last look at Cinderpaw before leaving for the warrior's den. He'd have to do his training now.

"thank you." she said to Griffonpaw and she rubbed against him making it looking like an accident. Then Steamyeyes took Cinderpaw to the medicine den "the medicine cat is gone but i know that some good rest here will help." Steamyeyes said to Cinderpaw "Steamyeyes, i have something to tell you." Steamyeyes paused "yes?" she said quietly "Me and Griffonpaw fell in love." Cinderpaw said slowly and quietly. Steamyeyes gray eyes widened "that is wonderful im so happy for you!" she said to Cinderpaw.
