A Siren's Message [Nightstar]

Siren padded through the never-ending darkness of the forest, passing Rush and the slimey depths of the river with a nod ... riding calmly across the waters. Pawsteps slipped out of the darkness, into a leader's den. There she sat, pelt blending in with the dark shadow ... looking over her. Siren's tail curled tightly around her paws she waited ... waited for Nightstar to dream.

Nightstar closed his eyes in the darkness of his den, hoping that Siren would have some news of Mountainpaw and his recovery, and of course on the battle between, RiverClan and ThunderClan. But there was many more things he needed to find, he needed spies in all of the clans.

Sighing with annoyance as the leader padded and took his bloody well time preparing to sleep, the she-cat finally stepped into his dream; eyes alit with mischief. "Hello Nightstar ... We meet again." As usual, her silvery voice was like liquid gold; soft and light. Inviting, but with a hint of danger spread out underneath. "I have news for you ..."

"News?" Nightstar stood shaking the moss out of his pelt. The she-cats voice always sent a chill down his spine, so mysterious, and smart as well. Nightstar's blue eyes gleamed in the dim light, and he peered into Siren's intently, he always kept a piercing gaze on everyone he saw, never looking away. It was... a habit of his.

The black she-cat nodded, body slinking a few pawsteps forward, eyes meeting his unwavering gaze calmly. "A certain dream actually ..." She murmured, words sharper now.

"Silverstar and Leopardstrike are the kin of the great Tigerstar. Leopardstrike being Silverstar's kin ..." Explaining the full dream in detail, Siren flicked her tail, sending black circles in all directions; displaying the dream in front of him.

"Do with it what you wish. But I would suggest telling the other clans ... obviously."

"What could I gain from the clans knowing of Leopardstrike and Silverstar's ancestors... No, I will keep it a secret, Silverstar is incredibly loyal, she would never fall for Tigerstar's trickery. Though the young cat Leopardstrike... He's confused already, I could see it in his eyes at the gathering. I want you to tell him. And tell Tigerstar, if he already doesn't know." mewed Nightstar plotting what he could do with a new spy in ThunderClan, this cat would be simple to trick and then he would rule the forest.

Siren growled under her breath, angry at his contradiction. "You don't think the clans will think them unloyal and untrustworthy?" She changed her tone. back to her normal voice. "Whatever. Do with it what you will." Turning away she meowed over her shoulder. "I will leave this passage open for you." she mewed waving her tail to create a small passage.

"Rush knows the future ... follow the path to meet him. Just bring a soul."

"Rush? Who is Rush?" Nightstar meowed in confusion, bring a soul, what did that mean? But Nightstar narrowed his eyes thinking of a way to decipher the cryptic message.

Siren paced slowly form the room, meowing a reply over her shoulder, sapphire eyes meeting with Nightstar's. "Rush is our river guardian. Go through that passage," she flicked her tail in the direction of the tunnel of darkness "He sees the future." Siren snickered, laughing at an unseen joke.
"But be fore-warned ... if you do not provide a soul ... no matter what the size ... he will not be friendly."
