Rematch

Goldenstorm was unbalanced as Mintleaf shoved into him. He gained his ground again and aimed to jump lightly onto her back, his weight wouldn't fully be able to crush her unless he jumped hard on her.

Mintleaf was about to leap away when her paws skidded in the mud. She flipped over and slid on her back through the patch of wet dirt. One good thing was she was far away from Goldenstorm. One back thing was she was covered in mud, weighing her down. She scrambled back onto her mud covered paws and shook some of the mud off of her pelt. Then dropped into an offensive stance, her now brown pelt blending in with the ground.

Goldenstorm could still see her piercing eyes, he landed on his paws after his lunge had failed again. He waited for her, "Come on! I dare ya!" he challenged her playfully.

Mintleaf charged forward, her paws thuding on the ground. She looked like she was going to jump but instead whipped around. She slid her hind paws through the mud and flicked them upwards. Mud splayed behind her in a wave. Hopefully she'd get him again. She completed her circle and sprang next to Goldenstorm. Then she swept one of her paws out and tried to trip him yet again.

Goldenstorm dug his claws into the ground as he ducked his head down to avoid any of the mud flung at him. He felt Mintleaf hit him and absorbed the blow, he shifted his weight back at her, reflecting the shove.

Her paw was shoved back and she was unbalanced. She quickly recovered though and sprang for Goldenstorm. She looked like she was going to try and jump on his back. But actually she twisted over him and landed on his other side. Then she gave a shove at aimed at his other side.

Goldenstorm tipped over, his back crashing into the mud. He countered fast by shooting his paw at her hindleg, aiming to grab it and pull her to the ground as he pulled her to get up.

Mintleaf felt Goldenstorm's paw wrap around one of her hindlegs. Then he felt him trying to pull her down. She had less than a fraction of a second to think. She pushed off with her other paws and aimed to use his pull against him. Hopefully she would fall on top of him.

Goldenstorm was about a few inches off the ground when Mintleaf toppled onto him. An 'oof' could be heard as the air left his lungs. "Hey, get off!" he smiled. He batted at her side, all four paws trying to shove her off.

Mintleaf fought, yet ignored, the battering. Her own paws flailed as she tried to get into a better postion. She reached and unsheated her claws for the ground, going to anchor into the ground. Hopefully that'd keep Goldenstorm from getting back up.

Goldenstorm took a quick breath and thrust his hind legs up, he hoped that would be enough. "Come on! This fight isn't over yet!" he smiled at her.

Mintleaf was thrown off Goldenstorm. She pushed her paws into the mud so she wouldn't slip out of control. She pushed off and twisted around, her belly fur brushing the ground. She bunched up her muscles and kicked upward at Goldenstorm's belly or side area.

Goldenstorm lunged himself over her legs, hoping to tackle into her muddy side.

Mintleaf felt Goldenstorm impact into her and instinctually flailed her paws. She couldn't, no wouldn't, let herself go down!

Goldenstorm rolled off her back and quickly countered, pulling himself under her and throwing paw swipes at her legs and underbelly.

Mintleaf's belly was getting pummeled repeatily. She fought back at him by throwing her own paws to block and counter Goldenstorms.

Goldenstorm flipped onto his paws, still under her. He tried to grab her front paws and lift his body up, locking his knees, though he had no idea if it would work or not.

Mintleaf saw Goldenstorm flip over and jumped away before he could pop up under her. Then she charged forward and slid her paws forward. She wanted to use her own body to send him down.

Mintleaf slid under Goldenstorm, taking his paws out with her. He felt his weight fall as he collapsed.

Mintleaf rolled over once she had cleared Goldenstorm and bounced up on her paws. Then she pounced while aiming to pin him down.

Goldenstorm fell to the ground and Mintleaf stood upon his back. He thrust upwards, trying to throw her off.

Mintleaf was prepared for the obvious counterattack. When Goldenstrom thrusted upward she crouched down. It evened out the force and she stayed put on his back.

Goldenstorm growled as he began to buck, eventually deciding to jump up and twist so that he landed on his back.

Mintleaf had a hard time staying on as Goldenstorm began to buck. Then he jumped up and began to twist. When it started Mintleaf jumped up herself off of his back and aimed to land on him again.

Goldenstorm landed on his back, a bit of pain flashed along his spine, but he ignored it. The goldenfurred tom kicked out his paws, in case Mintleaf was to try anything while he was off his guard.
