FOX HUNTING! (Kit peoples)

OOC: *Plays music*

Otterkit streaked across the plains, hissing with exitement, his tail fluffed up and his ears perked. He kept veering to one side, thinking he had seen a flash of orange fur, but then kept running, laughing foolishly.

Boulderkit charged after Otterkit, his fluffy-kit-fur shimmering out around him like a silver cloud, Hey, maybe his warrior name would be Bouldercloud? Or Boulderstorm?

Berrykit loved to follow Otterkit around. The older and bigger kit was always a lot of fun. So she did here. Her tiny paws nearly collapsed as she began to run after him. "Otterkit!", she meowed. "Wait for me! I want to play, too!"

"We ain't playing Berrykit! We are hunting!" Otterkit called, but slowed his pace even so.

Boulderkit turned, his eyes huge. "Berrykit!" he mewed, going back to help the younger kit through the mud. It was just how he was. He liked to help.

Berrykit felt happy. "I will hunt a big piece for Mommy!", she meowed. She waded trhough the mud, her tiny paws making a funny noise everytime she put a paw infront of the other. As she reached Boulderkit and Otterkit she stopped. "How do we hunt? I don't even know what to hunt and how it works. But I want to make mommy proud!"

"We don't either. But We're gonna bring that fox that's been stealing our prey back to camp, and make everyone proud!" Boulderkit mewed, smiling down at the younger kit.

"Grawrgh!" yoweled Bramblekit playfully, appearing from behind a small cluster of gorse bushes. "I hope you didn't think I'd let you leave me behind!"

Breezekit, being of they shy kind, she often liked to follow her broters around. Especially Boulderkit. She charged up to him and matched her pace to his. She looked uncertainly at him and mewed quietly, "What exactly are we doing?"

"Hiya Breezekit!" mewed, Bramblekit, walking beside her.

Berrykit blinked. "What's a fox?", she asked.

"Its real scary lookin, six cat-lengths tall, ten wide. It has a long muzzle with teeth like stones that never break!" Otterkit had no clue what a fox looked like, but he wasn-t about to let them know that! He was skilled in the art of lieing. "It has a huge tail the size of a bush and claws that can shatter boulders! Its a deep red colour because of all the things it has killed. It may look like fur, but its blood all right!"

OOC: To put in Cedarkit, or to not put in Cedarkit, that is the question.

Breezekit let out a squeak of surprise at Bramblekit's meow. She leapt behind Boulderkit and peered at the newcomer.

"It's only me, silly! I'm not that nasty fox!" Bramblekit grinned at Breezekit.

Berrykit squealed in terror. "It's too big, too scary and to dangerous!", she yowled at Otterkit. "I'm feared! What should we do now?" She crouched down beside Otterkit.

"Garrgh! I'm the big scary fox and I've come to eat you all!" groweled Bramblekit, waddling around, pretending to be the fox.

"Shut up! You'll give us away!" The brown and black tom snapped.

Windkit popped out from behind a rock in front of the group. He shushed, "You're the loud one." He shook his gray and white fur before continuing in a quiet tone. "If we want to catch a fox we all have to be quiet."

"Okay," whispered Bramblekit, dropping into his stealth crouch (which wasn't very stealthy).

Sparrowkit had finally managed to escape the camp! Finally! I can go on a real adventure now!

With his tiny kit nose, he picked up the familiar scent of Boulderkit and several others along with them. He'd seen apprentices and warriors alike who tracked, and he decided he'd try it as well. Over the windy moors he went, when he finally caught sight of them, overhearing parts of their conversation.

"We're going hunting." "Six cat-lengths tall... with teeth like stones that never break!" "Catch a fox..." The grey-brown tom overheard scraps, and his ears immediately pricked with curiosity. He could feel the blood pounding in his head. They were going to catch a fox! Well, he wasn't about to miss out on an opportunity like that!

He padded out from behind a thick patch of grass. "Hey guys!" He whispered excitedly, padding quickly up to his den-mates. "If we really do catch a fox, we'll make Clan history! We could feed the Clan for a moon, or more!"

"You can't eat a fox, silly!" whispered Bramblekt. But he thought about making Clan history. And then he thought about his warrior name. Maybe I could become... Brambletooth! Or Bramblefoxkiller! Or Bramblefear! Or.. or.. "Bramblethorn!" he acciedentally mewed aloud. "Oops," he mewed shyly. "I was just thinking about my warrior name."

Sparrowkit shot Bramblekit a scornful look. He didn't like to be proved wrong. "Maybe you can't. But I sure can!" Just then, a mew burst from the other kit. "Your warrior name?" The greyish brown tom sniffed. "You'll have moons before you'll even get your apprentice name." But it had kicked something in his mind. Maybe he could be Sparrowsong! Or Sparrowflight, or Sparrowheart, Sparrowfeather... the possibilities were endless! He shivered as he imagined the Clan calling out his new name, and a crooked grin spread across his face. Shaking himself, he smiled at Bramblekit. "Maybe they'll call you Bramblebrain. Your head seems to be full of them!" He teased.
