FOX HUNTING! (Kit peoples)

"Maybe you will be Sparrowdung!" Bramblekit joked, not meaning it badly. "But speaking of which, I think I can smell foxdung!" he mewed, wrinkling his nose. "I think it's coming from that direction!" he exclaimed, loud enough for the others to hear and gesturing of to the side with his nose.

"Shush, or you'll be Bramble-crow-food!" Sparrowkit hissed, slapping his tail over the younger kit's mouth. The wind was definitely carrying the scent of dung, but he wasn't sure if it was fox or not. Adrenaline rushed through his body like a blast of wind. Was he about to meet the large, blood-streaked monster with the crushing stone jaws?

Berrykit slowly followed the group of kits. There were so many here, so she wondered if some kits even remained or if that were all. Suddenly she heared something cracken from the direction they all were heading. She stopped, eyes wide, her pelt fluffed so she looked like a ball. "Did you hear that?", she whispered. "It's the fox! It comes to eat us in a whole!" She began to shiver with fear. "Can't we hunt something not so dangerous? Something eatable?", she mewed. "I don't want to get eaten..." Then she noticed she had accidentally pee'd out of fear. She moved forward and hoped nobody had noticed. After all, she was one of the youngest kits of the group.

Sparrowkit pressed his fluffy kit-pelt reassuringly to the tiny she-kit. "Don't worry. We'll fight it off, even if it is six cat-lengths high. With a tail the size of a bush. With teeth like stones..." His voice was getting shakier and shakier, and he knew he was trying to convince himself as much as Berrykit. "I'll protect us all. Even if it means I'm going to StarClan." He'd heard lots of warriors say it, and it gave him courage, even if he wasn't quite sure what it meant. He would defend his denmates though, no matter what!

OOC: *looks a Berry* Wooooow. . .*shakes head*

IC: Windkit assured, "It may not even be a fox! For all we know it's just a rabbit or maybe an apprentice." He nodded in agreement to what he had to say, and assure himself. He crouched down, watching from where the noise has come from, fur bristling along his spine.

Sparrowkit nodded, glad of Windkit's assurance. "Let's not jump to conclusions. Plus, we could probably take on a whole badger, with all of us gathered here! We're as strong as a warrior patrol!" He mewed, trying to keep his voice steady. He knew as much about badgers as he knew about foxes.

The words of her littermates calmed her down. "We're warriors!", she mewed. "Windclan, attack!", she yowled and threw herself in the bush. She had closed her eyes while running through. Then she was on the other side and there it was. A large creature, pelt red because of the blood of it's many victims, tail like a bush and teeth that could crush stones. Berrykit watched in terror. The fox had just killed something and was now enjoying its prey. A rustle behind her told her the other were coming. Good. Because she felt like stone.

Bramblekit ran, enjoying the chance to stretch his legs and the feel of the wind in his fur. "Hey, you know, what if it is an apprentice? Should we attack still or let ourselves be dragged back to camp?! I vote attack, but still... and i'm not suprised if it is an apprentice... they smell so bad..."

Sparrowkit's squeaky battle cry stuck in his throat, quickly turning into a hiss of fear and horror as he saw the blood-stained monster in a gap through the bush. "Berrykit!" He hissed, terror for the tiny kit in his desperate hiss. "Get back! We have to wait for everyone to get here! It'll kill you... no, don't just stand there like a boulder, you have to get back here!" He kept his voice as low as possible. The wind was in their favor, but would it stay like that for long?

Bramblekit silently gasped as he saw the fox. It was huge but Bramblekit was sure he could take it! "We need to attack while we have the chance. Let's surround it on all sides except the side the wind's coming from! That way we will give it no chance of escape and have the element of suprise." Bramblekit mewed to the others, no trace of fear in his voice. I can do this! He thought to hmself.

"Are you completely mouse-brained?" He nearly screeched. "Not everyone's even here yet, and Berrykit is still out in the open!" But he knew it was a good plan. Hesitating, he added, "We'll do that once Berrykit gets back here!"

"Berrykit! Come on! It's to dangerous to be out there! Come back!" whispered Bramblekit to the young kit, starting to worry for her safety.

She'll be that creature soon! He thought, his stomach lurching as he stared at the prey that the fox was feeding on. He thought it was a rabbit, but it was so destroyed that he couldn't tell a leg from an ear. Unable to watch, he crept forwards and nudged Berrykit with his muzzle. "Come on." He whispered.

"Should we spread out now?" Bramblekit suggested.

Sparrowkit nodded. "Is that okay with you guys?" He asked the rest of them. They would have to hurry if they wanted to bring the fox down!

"I'll go around this way!" mewed Bramblekit, beconing with his nose to the left.. Excitement raced through him, from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail and the tips of his claws, when he thought about the incredible feat he and his friends were going to do.

Sparrowkit nodded and padded the other way. He was nervous, yes, but it was excitement that won him over. They could do this!

Bramblekit got into position. He was right by the foxes head, so he would have a good opening when he sprung from his hiding spot behind a gorse cluster. "Is everyone ready?" Bramblekit asked.

Otterkit scented the air then tensed. "Guys wait. I think theres more than one..." There was another scent. It reminded him of when he was still hardly more than a scrap of fur... "That vixen has cubs! She'll be extra deadly!"

Sparrowkit gasped, and when his jaws parted he could taste the milky scent in the air. "WindClan, retreat!" He mewed quietly, but loudly enough for everyone to hear. There was no time to wonder if he was being too bossy; the vixen would turn them all to crow-food if they didn't get their tails out of there, and quickly!

Berrykit stared in horror ans she was dragged through the bush back to safety. Her friends had just prepared a battle tactic as Otterkit noticed the Fox had cubs. For a moment Berrykit was still frozen, then he recognized Sparrowkit's voice to retreat. She took her paws and ran like she had never run before. She stumbled over her own legs and fell to the ground, face first. It hurt and she began to cry for her mommy and daddy. "I don't wanna die! Mommyyyyy Daddyyyy!", she cried. "I'm hurt, I don't wanna die!" Thick tears ran down her face while she tried to walk forward. She needed to keep her pace and reach the camp before the fox did. Her left hind leg hurt, but she kept walking somehow. She couldn't see much, because her eyes were full of tears. "I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die!", she repeated and kept moving forward. "I DON'T WANNA DIE!!", she yowled.

"Berrykit, keep quiet!" Sparrowkit meowed desperately as he slapped his tail over her mouth. "The fox'll hear you!" His heart pounded as he glanced at the fox with his pale amber eyes. His heart rose in his throat like bile. The fox was glaring straight at them, her stone teeth bared in a snarl.

Berrykit was relived as Sparrowkit reached her. She didn't know what was going on behind them and if the fox was still there. She just noticed him staring in terror, but she probably looked the same. She kept moving. The camp must be near, she could smell Windclan, home. Hopefully some warrior will find them, they must be very close. She took all her voice together and cried for help. "HEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!", she yowled. "A FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX!" What if no warrior heard them?

He couldn't move; his limbs were made of stone just like fox teeth. His light-coloured gaze met the fox's angry yellow one. We're going to die, we're going to die, we're going to die, we're going to die... The words played over and over in his mind, echoing in his ears, reverberating all around them.

Otterkit gave a furious snarl and lept at the fox, managing to rake his claws down her muzzle before he was thrown against a tree. He tasted blood, and turned around, confused. Then he saw the hole. He wriggled towards it and looked down at the cubs; if they where still young, he could use them as a distraction to allow his den-mates to escape.
