MoonHigh (Mountainpaw)

Nightstar's pelt glistened with a glossy sheen as he stood on a stone just outside DarkClan territory, he could see most of the forest, he waited for his little spy to wander into the territory. He hoped this cat was good enough to be a DarkClan cat, but he would have to prove himself. Though if Siren had chosen him, he couldn't be too pathetic.

Mountainpaw entered to the territory, he was a bit confused "he...llo?" he asked, he wasnt sure who to look for

"You there... You are Mountainpaw." Yowled Nightstar standing tall and staring down at the much smaller cat. His fur bristled with excitement, so this was the spy that Siren had promised him. Not too shabby, he could be a true warrior if he followed DarkClan's laws.

"who are you?" mountainpaw asked

"I am Nightstar, leader of DarkClan. You must have met my messenger, Siren." he meowed leaping from the stone and standing before the apprentice, his ears pointing straight up and his All-Knowing blue eyes sparkling, his tail flicked in the air for a second, and his eyes narrowed. Could this cat be trusted.

"yeah..siren...she told me..that I should join this clan" Mountainpaw didnt specify his reasons, he didnt want anyone else to know so much about him

"Ah... That she-cat is a tricky one. But before you can join my clan, you must prove yourself. Siren wouldn't have chosen you unless you had great potential. There is a battle coming between ThunderClan and RiverClan, you must be in it, and you must fight like never before, I can see from your wounds that you met a tough cat in battle. Tell me about it." Nightstar said sitting down to listen to the tale of this cat, by the looks of him, he must have been pretty strong if he had walked all the way here with those kinds of wounds.

"well, it was a cat from thunderclan...Leopardpaw...he had been meeting my sister Blossompaw...we had a little battle first...but it was actually a draw...then we, riverclan found him in the boundary with our deputys body, I felt furious and attacked him...I felt strange in that moment" he stoped for a moment " I felt a strange energy I had never felt before..." he finished

"I can get you the revenge, I can see that you have a bloodlust that is hidden from most cats. I can help you control it, I can help you rule RiverClan, and all you have to do is listen to my orders and you will soon be Mountainstar. You will be able to speak to me through Siren in your dreams." Nightstar said eerily, smiling wickedly showing a sharp tooth.

The idea was tempting, he thought "hmm...so what do you want me to do?" he asked, this cats seemed to have a little of sense, at least more than what his clanmates had

"Easy, you must prove yourself to me and your clan. Fight hard in the upcoming battle, perform any tasks offered by Shadowstar and become a perfect choice for Deputy, after you become a warrior of course. Become favored in the eyes of all the cats, including the new deputy, and slowly build popularity among your clanmates. Eventually they will see how perfect you are for Deputy, and soon you will be leader."

"Theres a little problem" he hissed "I dont have a mentor, I mean I have been training a bit with other apprentices...Im really good at hunting but I cant improve in fighting sharing mentor with another one" he explained

"Don't worry young one. Siren will teach you, and so will I. You will become a very powerful cat. But for now, we must part ways, your medicine cat must be worried sick about you." he meowed stalking back into the darkness.

Siren watched silently their conversation, a smug look on her black face, whiskers twitching. Walking silently beside Nightstar she mewed quietly, almost in a whisper, tail flicking in the darkness. "Your welcome." Suddenly a large gust of wind blew through the area, icy wind form the north. Wind not welcomed. She stepped slowly into the darkness, lookin over her shoulder once while murmuring slowly. "Call me when needed again ..."

Mountainpaw was left alone, this idea was very tempting, he decide to return to RiverClan
