Hunting for the White Lion (Kittehs)

Deathkit sat by the river, washing himself while wating for the others. He looked at his refection and for a moment felt lost, looking into the water. He shook his head and was distracted by the eerie hooting of an invisible owl. Deathkit crouched down on the floor and began to worry if this was a good idea.

Foxkit picked his way to where Deathkit said to meet. "Did we HAVE to come out at night? There's more animals out at night, INCLUDING Badgers, Owls, Anacondas... Do I NEED to go on?" The tom kit mewed loudly.

"Hush!"Robinkit hissed,her ears twitching. "We're not even supposed to be out here,remember? And your talking louder than that owl!" She shook her head. "Where do we start?"she whispered to Deathkit,scenting the air automatically.

"It's not my fault... I'm worried about my mother, who seems to have gone missing..." Foxkit muttered crossly, twitching his tail. "Where are Spiralkit and Ebonykit?"

"Maybe we should wait for them. But did anyone remember where the elders said you could find the lion?" He looked around, jumpy by what Foxkit had said. "I hope we don't meet any badgers." He said softly to himself.

"Eh... I wasn't really listening to the elders..." Foxkit mewed simply, hiding a small snicker at Deathkit's jumpyness.

"I never really do anyway." He growled at himself to stop being so affraid. "Where are Ebonykit and Spiralkit? Its getting freezing out." He shivered.

"Eh... Who knows..." Foxkit mewed, prodding a leaf with his paw. "Maybe..." He paused, crouching. "THEY WERE EATEN!" He finished, roaring as he soared ontop of DeathKit.

Deathkit rolled over, knowing he would be to slow to run. He jumped on Foxkit and began to paw at him, claws shealthed.

"Aw! You're no fun!" Foxkit spat, leaping off of Deathkit to avoid his paw. "Anyways..." The gray kit stared up at the clouds, a large drop hitting him on his head. "It's about to rain... Hard..."

"Well you go home then." He sta down and showed no signs of leaving.

Robinkit stared thoughtfully into the forest. "Maybe,"she murmured,padding slowly into the shadows so that her silver pelt was completely covered in smoky blackness. Maybe one of the forest animals can tell me where to find that lion. She sniffed the air,wrinkling her nose when a raindrop splashed on her face.

Deathkit looked at Robinkit. He was still deeply affraid of Spiralkit, and because he was probably the weakest of the kits, he felt that everything could be blamed on him. "What are you doing?"

Ebonykit raced through the forest, she camp up panting and out of beath. Wow... "So what did I miss?" she asked the other kits.

"Nothing much. We've been waitng for you."


SHOTNES MAXIMUM

"Oh,nothing,"Robinkit muttered,her tone that of dissapointment. All the animals have been hiding for a moon because of the rain. She trotted over to the others,smiling. "Ebonykit,what kept you?"

Deathkit yawned and lay down. He jumped up again almost instantly because the grass was so wet.
"When do we leave? Should we wait for Spiralkit?"

"I dunno."Robinkit shrugged. "She has a mind of her own. She''l either show up or not."

Foxkit sighed. "I thought I was to destract him!" He muttered crossly, to where only Ebonykit could hear him.

"What are you two muttering about over there?"Robinkit asked curiously,a hint of annoyance in her tone. Her ears straining,she only heard a faint mutter and she growled in frustration.

Daethkit narrowed his eyes. He had sharper ears than most but he had only caught the word distract. "I'm going to find that lion." He got up and padded away into the denser area of Riverclan territory without waitng for the others.

Robinkit didn't wait for an answer from the others,just bounding after Deathkit. "Do you have any idea of where to look?"she asked him,her strides lengthening to bring her up beside him.

"Not really." He grinned sheepishly at her. "I just want to prove I'm no coward. Maybe we should go look near the borders? If the lion roams all territories is must cross somewhere right?"

She nodded. "Right." Robinkit turned,focusing on the forest ahead. "I know for a fact your no coward,no normal kit would be out here otherwise."she finally said,her tail streaming out behind her. "Spiralkit wouldn't come."

Deathkit looked at her in surprise. "Do you even know where the boundrIEs are? We are ment to be shown once we are apprenticed. I'm none too sure myself."
