Finding Family

Vixenstep yelped, feeling claws scrape past her throat. She was flung to the ground, but felt blood spatter her fur. No!

Myth just watched, her eyes glazed as her gaze hovered over them, but here green eyes were far away. She just listened, hearing what these two cats said as they struggled.

Goldenstorm clenched his eyes shut as he winced, he felt the icy cold claws rake through him. He felt warmth escape him, pained seared afterward. He landed roughly on the ground, crashing and rolling roughly in the heather. His whole underbelly was enveloped in his own blood, his gleaming golden fur turned a harsh crimson. He lay there, only for a brief moment, before he struggled a bit and tried his best to stand, or at least sit. The first two attempts ended with his face in the dirt, but the third he staggered on his paws and struggled to stand in front of Vixenstep, ready to protect her, even at the cost of his own life.
His legs were weak, wobbling, unstable. His whole body was trembling and it was easy to see he was struggling to keep his head held up as high as it was. His tail drooped onto the earth and his jaws opened a bit so that he could take in massive gulps of air. He could start to feel lightheaded and what he was seeing was starting to turn fuzzy. During all of this, his belly was bleeding badly and it seemed a great lake had formed under his paws.
Goldenstorm took what little strength he had left and manged to turn his gaping jaws into a mouth of bared fangs, threatening to rip through Cody. His eyes lit with his own fiery spirit, his will to protect the she-cat he stood in front of, shielding her from any attacks. He shook his head wildly and all he was seeing turned into a sharp clearity, adrenaline had begun to work its way on his body, his sight and smell more sensitive, hearing a gentle breeze as a great roar that filled his ears until he thought they might burst. He forgot his pain and stood still, his legs still slightly shaky.
Though he looked fierce, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance against Cody at the moment, his injury to severe, the effects weakening him too much. Vixenstep would have to flee if Cody attacked him. At least she'd be able to make it.

Vixenstep stared at Goldenstorm, her eyes huge with horror. "Goldenstorm..."she murmured, her voice cracking.

Cody rolled onto his stomach and grinned. So he saved her, but he injured himself in the process. He looked pathetic too, it was a shame, he couldn't even get a good fight in and wrestle out his energy before he killed him. Or... His eyes moved over to Vixenstep. That cat would bleed out, but this one, he could actually have fun with, take out his anger properly. She deserved it anyways, they both did, trespassing on their home, demanding luxuries they could not have, not while he was around, he was going to make sure of that.

Quickly, Cody jumped to the side of Goldenstorm, and lunged at Vixenstep, his claws outstretched so he could bore them into her fur.

Vixenstep turned, her eyes wide, just as Cody barreled into her. She yelped, scrabbling weakly at his face with her backpaws. We're gonna die!she thought helplessly, blood spraying all over her fur.

Cody was cut on his face as Vixenstep kicked at him, but it wasn't strong enough to completely dissuade his attack, she was growing weaker, he knew it. He opened his jaws widely and aimed a fierce, powerful bite on the cat's foot so she could stop her annoying kicking. It was making things less enjoyable for him.

"No!" Fear sliced through Goldenstorm as he used whatever he had left, he lunged for Cody, his jaws gaping for a well aimed bite. He felt desperate, knowing he wouldn't be able to do much when he got Cody off of Vixenstep. I have to get her out of here. he thought desperately, despair rushed through him, but he knew it'd be better if she made it rather than suffered a death she didn't deserve. If she got within the Clan's boundaries, she'd be safe. He was falling through the air, the wind blinding his ears, just for a brief moment.
Rather me than her.
Then he felt anger. Felt anger towards Cody, felt anger towards Myth, furious at Watertail, upset at the world. He was mad at Wolfstar for making him sit in the Nursery, motherless, Moontail for dying so that he was alone again. Mad at Myth for leaving him, mad at Watertail for leaving things to himself to train. He hated anyone he could think of, but he was desperate to save Vixenstep.

Vixenstep hissed as her foot was bitten and lashed out with one of her front paws. "Goldenstorm... Go!"she gasped. "I'll hold him off as long as I can!"

Goldenstorm kept his blazing eyes of fury fixed on Cody, he was going to help Vixenstep whether she liked it or not. She was meant to live this.

OOC: *jabs Myth* GO HELP YOUR SON! *points sternly*

Cody yowled in rage as he felt teeth affix themselves on his shoulder with an unexpected force. He looked over to see Goldenstorm was the culprit of this. He ignored Vixenstep's battering paws and used his weight to try and force Goldenstorm off of him. If he suceeded he'd whirl around and slash at his belly again.

Goldenstorm winced slightly as he felt another fierce pain slice through him. "Fight me!" he yowled with a snarl at Cody, limping off him. He stood waiting for him to get off Vixenstep so she could flee. He staggered, finding everything get a little blurry. He shook his head and reminded his body the amount of trouble he was in, and Vixenstep. A burst of energy shot through him, desperation.

"Fine then," Cody growled as he got off of Vixenstep, keeping his wits about him in case she wanted to try and be a hero so she can save her little mate that kept bugging him. He tried to rake his laws across Goldenstorm's face, aiming to blind him, with his own blood, in the least. He was purposely starting to carry this out, not satisfied with him just dying as he was before.

Goldenstorm just barely ducked his head in time too notice that a whisker had been cut off his muzzle, Cody's claws had just barely grazed his nose. "Is that all you can do?" he taunted, bluffing. He knew he couldn't do even that much. He would have to suck it up and do his best. He sent a paw with it's claws thrown out at Cody's legs. Maybe he could trip him. He turned his head to Vixenstep briefly, "Run!" he yelled, bringing his attention back to his opponent.

Cody sidestepped out of the way of Goldenstorm's move. He growled with a fury and lunged to tackle the younger and weaker tom. If he succeded he's aim a blow at the tom's neck, not hard enough to get a quick kill, but hard enough for him to suffocate slower than the average and suffer more.

Goldenstorm moved, but not fast enough to avoid the strong blow. It hit him on the cheek and he felt himself fall to the ground, pain searing through him. More pain moved in as he hit the ground with a hard thump. He silenced a groan, refusing to let anyone see him suffer. "Run Vixenstep." he let out, a faint meow.

OOC: Can I kill GOlden, I don't want to, but I don't have anything else to do because of CHEESLES! I mean, if Vixen does something, then I might not have to... I guess I'll wait... *waits*

ooc: I know. WHERE THE FRENCH TOAST IS CHEESE?!?!?!?!?

OOC: I DUNNO! *Drags Cheese to thread*

Vixenstep snarled and shook her head, clambering to her paws to launch herself at Cody. Though her injuries would slow her down, this would still be a powerful attack if her clumsy aim hit him. "Leave him alone!"she yowled.

Myth pulled Cody off the clan cats. "Cody you have given them enough wounds to make them remember us." She still didn't entirely believe that Goldenstorm was her son. Then, once Cody had left the cats she walked up to him, walking around him as if inspecting him. Then she saw the distinct pattern of his coat. She wasn't really one to pick out everything obvious unless she was really focussed on it. She looked at his eyes, the same shade as Codys. "Goldenstorm?" She asked half heartedly.

Blood continued to seep out of his wounds and it made him light headed. He placed his paws on his wounds and pushed hard on them. He winced, but only pushed harder. I hope this stops it. Goldenstorm found himself struggling to look up at Myth. He could barely
hear her over his heavy breathing. "What?" he answered coldly.

Cody turned his head when he heard Vixenstep's yowl. He couldn't react fast enough to move himself fully out of the way, the only thing he could do was take a small step. As a result he was knocked off balance, the air pushed out of his lungs as he scrabbled with his feet, his monitary confusion keeping him from doing much else. A sharp pain went through his shoulder, making him hiss. He got up to his feet, feeling the pain increase. What was wrong with it, it wasn't bleeding.

He glared at the cat, growling at her, ready to show his revenge for her stunt, but then Myth had said to stop, and so he did. He sat down behind his mate, disgusted that she'd even talk to that cat that tried to barge into their lives like a badger. He kept his eyes locked on Vixenstep, making sure she didn't get close to his mate.

Vixenstep hissed furiously, lashing her bushy red tail in anger. "Don't you dare touch him again,"she said in a low, menacing voice. If it came down to it, she'd defend him with her life.

"She can do what she wants," Cody snarled at Vixenstep. "You're not going to do anything about it." He threatened. Even though he couldn't stand his shoulder, he thought he still had enough to fight her. He was tired, and if it wasn't for the rapid movments of the fighting, he'd have blood in his eyes, but all in all, he thought he could do it. If he didn't, he had Myth to help him.

Myth lashed out at Vixenstep, her claws aimed to rake down the young she cats side. "Leave! NOW!" She yowled.
