Finding Family

Goldenstorm felt claws scrape against him and burn as he rolled onto his back and lifted up his legs to push Cody off as he landed on him. All he wanted to know was his mother, and possibly her mate. He knew this cat knew where Heatherpelt was and fury filled him as Cody denied it repeatedly.

Cody hissed as he was pushed off Goldenstorm. He winced as the newest wound on his stomach burned, dug in from the claws of the other tom. "Why don't you leave, you little brat? You're not wanted here." He growled.

Vixenstep growled and tried to lunge forwards, her paws outstretched. "Goldenstorm!"she hissed in concern.

"STOP!" The she cat mewed pushing Cody and the young cats aside. She gave Cody a warning glance before looking fiercely at the bad excuses for warriors...
"Why do you need Heatherpelt?" She mewed her eyes burning.

"Because. She's my friend's mother."Vixenstep panted, stopping in her tracks. Blood dripped to the ground and she wobbled slight, but kept her footing.

The dappled she cat looked at the young cats. "The names Myth..." She mewed.

Goldenstorm stood, his eyes blazing. "So, Myth," he spat the she-cats name, "Would you know where my mother is? Or did you kill her too?" he growled at her, his fur bristling in rage.

Cody calmed himself at Heatherpelt's warning glance. It reassured them that she wouldn't jump into whatever these cats were saying about her being that cats mother or whatever. Cody's eyes quickly shot over to Goldenstorm as he adressed his mate rudely. He hissed at the cat with rage.

"Don't you dare growl at her," He snarled, ready to jump back on the disrespectful cat.

Goldenstorm whipped his gaze back at Cody, "I don't fear you cat. You have no power over me." he hissed, daring the tom to attack him.

Vixenstep moved forwards swiftly, moving between the two toms. "Goldenstorm, calm down."she mewed calmly, despite the fact that anger was written all over her face. She desperately wanted to attack Cody, but that would leave Goldenstorm to try to defend her. She lowered her voice,"If something happened to you, I wouldn't be able to bear it." Only Goldenstorm would be able to hear the whispered words unless the other cats leaned in.

"Your names Goldenstorm aye?" Myth mewed. She looked at the cat. "You have some skin on ya!" She mewed teasingly. "But your a little thick," She gave a small laugh full of mockery. "I was Heatherpelt!" Myth sighed. "Now go, you've found me!" She mewed turning back to the den.

Goldenstorm stood with his jaws dropped. "Y-Your my mother?" he gasped. He couldn't believe he was just about to attack his own mother, and now she was walking away. "Wait! There's so much I have to ask you." he stepped forward a pawstep.

"Look kid, I'm a loner now, I don't associate with clan cats." Then Myth thought.
"But I'll talk, just make it quick."

Vixenstep looked at the loner, shocked. Then she put the pieces together. Goldenstorm's resemblance to them both was obvious. Cody had Goldenstorm's quick temperament, and Heatherpelt had the calm wisdom that he would have while he was thinking.

"You two, so we have it clear," Myth looked back at Cody, "My name's Myth not Heatherpelt no more."

Cody growled at Goldenstorm as he approached Myth. He resented the fact that she even agreed to talk to him for even a second. He didn't want her to be near this cat, even if he claimed himself to be her son, she hadn't even confirmed it.

Vixenstep flanked Goldenstorm, casting an untrusting glare at Cody that said, "if you touch one hair on his pelt, I'll kill you." Her claws were unsheathed, just in case he tried to attack again. She just hoped that Goldenstorm would have the sense to not provoke Cody into attacking again.

"He'll be dead before you even get the chance," Cody said back with the same furiosity. He wanted to rip his claws into the both of them, and it almost took every fiber of him to stop himself. Myth didn't want him to do it, so he would not, but oh how he wanted to.

Vixenstep bristled but said nothing, instead leaving her amber gaze to smoulder with anger.

"Your not saying anything of importance," Myth mewed, "You just want a fight." She mewed scornfully. "So you can go back to your pretty little clan and prove you real warriors but your not!" She spat. "Your cowards! Living by the pathetic 'Warrior code' and fighting for what you think is right." Myth hissed. "Now leave I don't want anything to do with you even if you are my son."

"We are not cowards!" Vixenstep's voice was raw with rage. "We defied the warrior code to come all the way out here to find you! And your calling us cowards?! What about you? You've come all the way out here to live without your family all for the sake of getting away from the rules and things you don't wanna do! That is what I call cowardice!"she snarled, lashing her bushy red tail.

Cody growled at Vixenstep and stepped between her and Myth. "Shut up you little brat. You say one more thing and I'll rip your tongue from you jaws." He bared his teeth into a snarl, ready to jump on her as soon as she dared to utter annother word.

OOC:Wow. I RANTED IN IC! Woot! *Dances*

Vixenstep held back a snide comment, instead glaring at Cody.

Myth counted to ten in her head before leaping forward and pinning the she cat to the ground, "Watch what you say about us little girly, I can kill you right now if I wanted to."

"Go ahead!"she snarled. "I'm not afraid of death or anything else you have to offer me!" She clawed viciously at Myth's belly with her powerful hind legs. I'm glad Birchpaw isn't here... The thought of her little brother having to see this made her eyes tighten in pain. If he saw her like this, bleeding to death and pinned down, he'd surely want his revenge on Heatherpelt and Cody. And then Goldenstorm would want revenge on him all the same for injuring or killing his family. Vixenstep didn't want revenge to be utmost in her brother's mind, though she knew that he was much stronger than he had been before. Possibly even stronger than she was.
