Finding Family

OOC: I think we should stop, we're making Goldenstorm look whimpy. XD

Cody stood in between Myth and Goldenstorm, making sure the other cat didn't try to stop her. He dared him to make a move with his eyes, ready to take that cat out by himself.

"Go!" Myth spat at the 'warriors.'

Goldenstorm had cleared his mind, leaving the current world into a kind of meditation. He reopened his eyes, quickly assessing the current situation. "Stop it, all of you." he shouted, his words neither angry or sad. They were assertive. "Your behaving like foxes in a fit. There's no reason to be fighting." he mewed, keeping his gaze stern as they passed over all three cats. Happiness, despair, and courage surged through him all at the same time, blazing his fur.

Vixenstep wriggled out from underneath Myth, going to stand beside Goldenstorm. "What do we do?!"

Goldenstorm sat down, keeping a serious, yet light face. "We talk." he smiled at his mother, than cast a fine glance at Cody. "We shouldn't need to fight, we're kin."

Myth leapt at Goldentstorm, pinning him to the ground, "Go now before we kill you! I don't care if we're kin or not!" She spat.

Goldenstorm stared into the she-cat's eyes. He spoke not a word, his eyes soft, yet defiant. He could see her fury wrapped within her words, though he could tell easier because she had pinned him against the heathery ground of the moorland. He didn't move a muscle.

"Goldenstorm!"Vixenstep choked out, staring at him on the ground. She unsheathed her claws again. If this cat put on claw on him...

Goldenstorm said nothing, Vixenstep would have to stop worrying for him at the moment. He stared back into the eyes of his kin and waited for her to either attack him or come to her senses.

Myth began to rake her claws down the cats side. "You can go now or you can fight back." She hissed into his ear.

Goldenstorm flinched slightly, shaking off the pain mentally. "I won't fight you." he mewed strongly, his eyes brave, and yet, full of despair. My own mother. After all this time I've lived without her, my own mother is going to kill me.

MYth looked at the cat up and down, then she realized, "You ain't joking are ya kid?" She muttered.

Goldenstorm glared at his mother, slightly angered, but he threw that aside. "Does it look like I'm having fun?" he almost growled. His gaze lightened again, and he looked almost happy. "I'm not running away like some kit hiding from nursery nightmares." his mew determined.

"Kid if you have nothing good to say," Myth paused, "Then get out of here or we will seriously kill both of you!"

Vixenstep blinked. "Goldenstorm,"she murmured, worry shining in her eyes. If he needed help he'd ask for it.

Goldenstorm shook his head lightly. No, I need to deal with this. He thought. "Why do you want to kill me so much?" he asked, neither challenging nor angry, just a toneless mew.

"I don't rely on pathetic clan cats, I am a loner and want nothing to do with you and your prissy little clan!" Myth hissed.

Goldenstorm looked up at his mother. "Well I'm glad you left me there. I had my first opportunity to fight a badger when I was a kit. It showed me what life was like. Right now, I just want to know my mother, I can care less about the Clans." he mewed back her, again his mew was toneless, no expression carrying within its notes.

OOC: *was left behind like a tumbleweed in the dessert*

Cody growled at Goldenstorm furiously. He wasn't going to attack, but he gave a good impression he would. "Just go already you piece of foxdung. We don't want you now go!" He hissed and he twitched his whiskers in his anger. He made the grooves already dug in the ground deeper as hhe glared at Goldenstorm, never taking his eyes away. He paid more attention to him than the other one, he didn't care for her, she could do what she wanted, him he couldn't even breathe without permission.

Goldenstorm lifted up his chin so that his neck showed, soft and vulnerable. "If you're going to kill me, get it over with." he mewed, despair and sorrow threaded through each word. It choked in his throat like a piece of bad fresh-kill.

Cody grinned a grin of satisfaction. He was letting himself be killed! Finally, he could get what he wanted, to kill this cat so he wouldn't have to be burdneed with his presence any longer. And if his little mate siad otherwise, he'd kill her too, there was no one to stop him. Cody lunged towards Goldenstorm, his jaws open so they could sink into his exposed neck.

Vixenstep choked in horror. "No! Goldenstorm!"she yowled, flinging herself at Cody to stop him going any closer to Goldenstorm.

Goldenstorm watched in horror as Vixenstep lunged herself at Cody. "Vixenstep, don't!" he called, frightened to death as he raced to try and push her out of the way of Cody. He'd rather die than let her be injured by this violent tom.

Cody was pushed on his back when Vixenstep knocked in to him, momentarily pushing air from his lungs. He quickly recovered and yowled in fury. Fine then, she'd be the one he'd kill. He used his claws to try and dig them into her and hold her down as he tried for her neck.

Goldenstorm was very close to the two, seeing Cody pushed down onto the heathery earth, seeing the violent tom try to rip Vixenstep's neck out, he lunged forward to try and push her out of the way. The only downside would be that Cody's claws would find themselves deep in his underbelly, Goldenstorm would carry great, deep gashes in his gut for the world to see, if he survived it.
