Tourny Time! (Open...I guess)

Liontail had finished his rabbit and padded slowly over to the tourny place. There he laid down, next to Goldenstorm. "Very interesting, huh?", he whispered to his comrade. Please win, Mintleaf, I'm counting on you! You can do this!, he thought.

"Yeah. I just hope I don't have to fight Vixenstep." Goldenstorm whispered.

"Am I out of the Tourny now?", Liontail asked Goldenstorm.

Vixenstep hissed, caught off guard. She reared back to avoid Mintleaf's multiple attacks and fell with a startled expression plastered on her face.

Mintleaf curled her body aiming to pin Vixenstep down.

"Yeah. You let a girl beat ya." Goldenstorm kidded.

Vixenstep was effectively pinned. "OK OK I know when I'm beat,"she said playfully, eyes glinting.

Mintleaf stepped off to allow Vixenstep to get up. "So all that's left is the final match," she meowed playfully shooting Goldenstorm a competitive smirk.

"Thank StarClan..." Goldenstorm sighed with relief under his breath. "Alright, looks like I'm fighting Mintleaf." he rose to his paws. "Do you want to have a break first?"

Mintleaf bounded over to a frozen puddle and broke the ice to get a drink. When she was finished she replied, "Hold on let me just catch my breath a second."

Goldenstorm sat down. "Take your time." He began to stretch his hind legs. Gotta limber up.

Vixenstep stood up, feeling her fur grow hot with slight embarrassment. Goldenstorm must think she was a weakling now. But she had beaten Liontail.... She went over and took a seat beside Goldenstorm. "Good luck,"she stated in what she hoped was a bright tone.

Mintleaf bounced lightly back towards them murmuring to herself, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. . ." She archered her back and meowed, "Okay I think I'm ready."

"Thanks Vixenstep. You did great by the way." Goldenstorm purred. He let out a mrrow of laughter as he heard Mintleaf. "Okay." he rose to his paws lightly. He got in his fighting stance, she might beat him in a race, but he wouldn't loose this fight. "You first." he said simply.

Mintleaf quickly bounded towards and when close enough lept at him, paws outstreached.

Goldenstorm rolled away and hopped onto his paws, lunging forward. Mintleaf left herself exposed.

Mintleaf turned herself so her back was to Goldenstorm and bunched her muscles. When Goldenstorm was right behind her she kicked out with her hind legs.

Goldenstorm jumped higher than Mintleaf's legs, avoiding her paws. He looked at Mintleaf's shoulders, he planned on landing there.

Mintleaf saw Goldenstorm's shadow as it fell over her. She quickly planted her front paws firmly on the ground and kicked up at Goldenstorm with her back paws.

Goldenstorm curled into a ball, feeling Mintleaf's paws hard on his back. He kept going, hopefully onto Mintleaf's back.

Mintleaf let out an "oof" as Goldenstorm fell onto her. She tried to wiggle and bounce to knock him off.

Goldenstorm clung like a fly to a spider web. "I...won't....let....go..." he grunted with effort. He leaned to one side to try and topple Mintleaf over.

Mintleaf kept struggling but soon she started to feel like she was tipping over. She soon felt Goldenstorm's body weight pull her over and her paws flailed as she tipped.

Goldenstorm let go and pounced in the air, hoping to land over top of Mintleaf, pinning her down.

Mintleaf saw Goldenstorm going towards her. I'm going to lose! Wait there's still that. . . She blinked but to her that blink lasted seasons. She filled her mind will terrors and she felt energy flowing through her body. She quickly rolled out of Goldenstorm's way and popped up onto her paws. The instant she was back on her paws she lept sideways back towards Goldenstorm, aiming to land on his back.
