Tourny Time! (Open...I guess)

"What do you mean, me and Whitepaw?" Mosspaw growled, looking over at Mintleaf with great hostility. "Watch your tongue or i might just rip it out."

Mintleaf looked at Mosspaw and commented, "Oh ho ho, I see how it is!" She smirked, "I'd like to see you try to get near my tounge!"

Goldenstorm gave an innocent smile, "So I like Vixenstep, so what? It's obivous Mosspaw likes Whitepaw and you like Liontail." he gave a fierce 'you know I'm right' glare. "Don't deny it, Mintleaf."

"I won't even be needing my claws after what you just said. I'll just smoosh it between my paws and pull it out." Mosspaw hissed.

"Come on Mosspaw, don't lie. You like Whitepaw." Goldenstorm smiled at his to-be apprentice.

Vixenstep dipped her head in embarrassment as her fur flared hot.

Birchpaw started laughing. "Man,you guys make it obvious when you like someone don't ya?"

Goldenstorm glared at Birchpaw. "And you don't like anyone now?" he laughed at Birchpaw, his pelt still furiously warm as he felt Vixenstep get the same way.

"'Course not!"Birchpaw mewed,giggling.

Goldenstorm shook his head. "You will." he stated before turning to Vixenstep. "You don't hate me do you?" he whispered so that only she could hear.

Mintleaf pouted at Goldenstorm's comment. She then smirked at Mosspaw and in a few quick bounds and leapt at him saying, "I'll get your tounge!"

"Of course not!"Vixenstep mewed,blinking deep amber eyes.

Mosspaw stepped aside the predicted attack and swiped with a sheathed claw at Mintleaf, then added, "If you keep blabbing, you'll bite your own tongue off, pouncing like that!"

Mintleaf smiled slightly. He had walked right into her trap. She let his paw touch her, but she barely felt a thing. Still facing the way she was she shoved at Mosspaw but that wasn't the only thing she "had up her sleeve." She then whisked to face him and went to use her front paws to batter at both of his sides. Then she aimed to headbutt his head up where then she would try to thrust both her paws down onto his head.

Mosspaw leapt to the left, taking double impact from the left paw, but none from the right. He skidded low on the ground, before immediately getting up to his paws and dropping to a crouch, still going at the 'injured paw' thing, he didn't want to blow his cover until he had to. He was in his defensive stance, and hadn't thought this fight out at all. Clearly Mintleaf had made a strategy, and he had to find it out quick.

Goldenstorm let out a faint growl as he leaped through the air to pin down either of the fighting cats.

Mintleaf pulled back into herself and then threw her paws out at Goldenstorm, but not exactly at his side. She pushed off towards the top of his back, which if it worked would probably send him spinning off towards Mosspaw.

Goldenstorm drove his claws fiercely into the ground and held his stance. "When Liontail comes we will start the competition, now is not the time." he growled at the two arguing cats.

"I will only fight if that leaf over there will stop trying to give me a paper cut!" Mosspaw taunted again, now sitting down and giving his fur a lick. "But if this leaf is getting in my face, I will pull his tongue out."

Goldenstorm let out a furious growl, shaking his pelt to dislodge Mintleaf. He nodded to Mosspaw and went to sit in his own little corner. He just made a fool of himself.

"Uh,"Vixenstep muttered,eyes sparkling. "I thought we weren't supposed to start yet?"

Mintleaf glared at Mosspaw saying, "Well this leaf is carried on a mighty wind that'll sweep you sky-lenghts away." When Goldenstorm padded away she, too, padded off to her own little corner. She sat down and replied to Vixenstep, "Warm-ups, perhaps?" The corners of her mouth lifted ever so slightly when she said that. She knew more tricks than the few that she showed here. She closed her eyes briefly and her mood suddenly shifted. Her spirt felt light and bouncey, her paws felt as light as feathers. She opened her eyes with a happier smile, not one of a smirk. Another mood shift, hopefully one that would not effect her performance in the tournement in a negative way.

Goldenstorm shifted. "We'll have to start without him, hopefully he'll come soon." the tom stood. "We should have the fighting competition first. Who wants to fight me first?" he smiled.

"I will!"Birchpaw meowed,standing up to his full height. Though he was two moons younger than his sister,he was much larger and better built. He stalked towards Goldenstorm,mischief gleaming in his eyes. "You gotta fight me for my sister!"he whispered,grinning from ear to ear.
