Tourny Time! (Open...I guess)

Liontail lay on the ground, panting. He looked over to Vixenstep. He was finished. He had no strength to even move a whisker. He closed his eyes and waited for Vixensteps final attack.

Goldenstorm got up. "Alright Vixenstep, you won." he padded over to help Liontail. "Come on buddy, let's get you back to your den." he grunted.

Mintleaf just sat there cleaning herself and being indiferent to the situation. Then she rememered the rabbit she had caught earlier and meowed, "Hey take the rabbit back, will you?"

Goldenstorm nodded. Taking Liontail back and the rabbit to the fresh-kill pile would postpone himself in the competition. Vixenstep would have to fight Mintleaf.

"Mintleaf", Liontail mewed while walking back. "Be aware, she's stronger than she looks!" Then he padded slowly into his den, making himself comfortable in his nest for a good long nap. "Hey Goldenstorm, would you mind bring me some fresh-kill? I think if I stand up now I'll die.", he mewed.

Mintleaf flicked her ears in annoyance. She was stronger than she looked as well. She arched her back, streaching, and meowed, "Ready for our fight Vixenstep?"

Goldenstorm nodded. He had the rabbit in his jaws and he tossed it over to Liontail, the exhausted warrior. "Here, enjoy." he started to make his way out of the den. "I'll see you later." he called over his shoulder.

"You bet." Vixenstep said, her tone challenging and playful. She was tired out from her previous fight, but as always had energy to spare. She crouched low, waving her thick, bushy ginger tail in the air in anticipation.

Goldenstorm arrived just in time to see the play fight. He didn't cheer, but was definitely ready to see the two she-cats fight. They were both very good at fighting.

Mintleaf dropped into an offensive crouch and started to stalk towards Vixenstep, her eyes sparkling with excitment. She then charged forward appearing if she would run straight into her but at the last moment she sidestepped her. Then she went to shoulder her in the side.

Vixenstep anticipated the attack, letting Mintleaf hit her. But at the last moment she dug her paws into the earth, pushing her way back to slam into her side.

Mintleaf felt Vixenstep push up against her so she dropped to the ground hoping that Vixenstep would fly over her.

Vixenstep landed on the ground several feet away from Mintleaf but pounced again, swiping with both front paws at her head.

Mintleaf ducked and when Vixenstep was over her she jumped up towards her.

Vixenstep was thrown to the ground, where she lay, winded. She continued to lay limp, another battle strategy.

Mintleaf inspected Vixenstep, trying to study her breathing and body movements. She saw how she was breathing irregular to be in her body state she was pretending to be acting out. Mintleaf charged and then slid across the ground, her belly flat and her paws outstreached, towards her.

Vixenstep flew to her paws as soon as she heard Mintleaf press her body to the ground and leaped up, hoping to land on her as she slithered past.

Mintleaf tried to slide up to her paws and manged to get up but before she could move Vixenstep crashed down on her. She almost fell but somehow kept standing. She tried to shake Vixenstep off before she couldn't bare the weight any longer.

OOC:Vixenstep isn't that big...XD

She purred in satisfaction, pinning Mintleaf to the ground. She hopped off lightly but kept her guard. Mintleaf might attack her again.

OOC: Minty is sort of small XD

Mintleaf jumped up and whipped around to glare at Vixenstep. Her eyes blazed with a mix of anger and amusement. She quickly threw some well aimed blows to Vixenstep's head and shoulders.

Vixenstep felt the blows and took them easily, aiming her own blows at Mintleaf's head and neck area, claws sheathed.

Mintleaf took them and then tumbled weirdly backwards, rolling and flipping this way and that where she was completely turned around, and still rolling.

"Are you alright?"Vixenstep mewed, concerned.

OOC: Aww you ruined what I had in store. . .

Mintleaf stood up and shook her fur. "Yeah," she meowed then quickly threw herself at Vixenstep, her paws striking out for multiple blows.

Goldenstorm watched with interest. Mintleaf was good, but Vixenstep was too. Who's going to win?
