Tourny Time! (Open...I guess)

Mintleaf burst into the training grounds, filled with excitement. The sun hanging up high in the sky. The little tournement that was planned would be taking place very soon. She sat down and awaited for the others to come, if they remembered it was even supposed to happen.

OOC: Okay time for the tournement! You know...from Goldenpaw the warrior topic? Anyone can watch but yeah...apprentices only, except for Mintleaf, Liontail, Goldenstorm, and Vixenstep...they're the exceptions...why? CAUSE WE SAID SO!

Goldenstorm leaped over the bush and had cleared Mintleaf easily. "You here for the competion too?" he asked, a wide smile on his face.

Goldenstorm wizzed over Mintleaf's head and she had to fight an urge to throw him off balance. She smiled back saying, "Yo right man! Why'd I miss somethin like this that's gonna be thrown down!" A look of puzzlement crossed her face and she spoke again, "For shiz dude! I'd be whack if I didn't come!" She scrunched up her face and was half mad and half disappointed. She sighed, "Gosh, how can the kits pull this stuff off? They make it look so easy!" Twitching her tail she meowed, "Anyway! Yeah that's what I'm here for!"

Mosspaw limped in the clearing, his front paw lifted off of the ground. He was the youngest apprentice, and was in a battle just the day before against a Shadow Clan cat. He wasn't actually injured, he hoped to put on an act before the fight started. Mosspaw naturally-lookingly limped over to the other apprentices. "I'm ready as I'll ever be, who still needs to come?"

Goldenstorm laughed at Mintleaf then turned to Mosspaw. "Hey. Liontail and Vixenstep." While Goldenstorm spoke of Vixenstep, he began daydreaming. Vixenstep! Maybe his inner voice was telling him he didn't want to be just friends.

Mintleaf rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah that's about it." When Goldenstorm said Vixenstep's name a look of wonderment appeared on his face. She giggled and then putting that aside said playfully, "They better hope they didn't forget, or they'll be sorry." She sat up and started to stretch, warming up her muscles.

Goldenstorm snapped out of it when Mintleaf started giggling. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Mintleaf giggled some more, "Oh nothing, just nothing." She let out one more mrrow of laughter before she started to stretch and move her body around, to have them loosened up to fight effeciently.

Goldenstorm tried to tackle Mintleaf. "What did you say?!?" he smiled.

"I didn't forget! Birchpaw was taking forever to get ready!"Vixenstep yowled,leaping gracefully over the bush and landing in the clearing,her tail high. She purred,excitement filling her voice. "When are we gonna start? Birchpaw's convinced he's gonna win." She rolled her eyes as her younger brother by two moons bounded into the clearing,eyes full of determination.

Birchpaw snorted at his sister's comment. "Oh I know I'm gonna win. Just 'cause your warriors now doesn't mean you're better than me!"

Goldenstorm saw Vixenstep leap into the clearing and he immediately stepped off of Mintleaf. "Hey Vixenstep." he dipped his head at Birchpaw "Birchpaw." He looked back at Vixenstep to answer her question. "We'll start once Mintleaf's boyfriend gets here." he smiled at Mintleaf.

Purring in amusement,Vixenstep sat down. "He better hurry! Or we'll start without him!" She motioned with her paw for Birchpaw to sit beside her,which he did with no complaint. "We'll see about that,'lil brother."

Goldenstorm decided to sit barely a mouse-length away from Vixenstep, his short fur barely brushing against hers. "Does anyone know where Liontail is?"

"I think I saw him in camp,"Birchpaw said,grinning at Goldenstorm's move towards his sister,and he swore he could see affection gleam in Vixenstep's eyes for a second or two.

Goldenstorm could feel his pelt tingle as he felt Birchpaw's stare on him. "Oh, did anyone remind him?"

Big mistake buddy. Mintleaf smiled and used her front claws as anchors as she pushed off with her back paws, sending the back end of her body quickly forward. She retracted her claws and let momentum swing her body around to face Goldenstorm, sidesteping his attempt. She taunted, "I got skills. Mad skillz." Then she swiftly pulled her front paws up to look like she was going to try and push him over but instead she bounced off on her front paws as well. She also went to put her paws down on Goldenstorm's back, to give her an extra lift towards Vixenstep and Birchpaw saying, "Ello."

OOC: Lol leap frog time!

IC: Ebarrasement rolled off of Mintleaf and she replied, "Hey! He's not my boyfriend!" Well not offically exactly... Retaining her cool she slyly told Goldenstorm, "Oh Goldy pal, you're not really one to talk. And no, I don't know where the fluff-tail is and no I didn't remind him. He shouldn't need a babysitter."

Vixenstep purred again. "You guys are worse than kits!"


MUSE HAS LEFT

Goldenstorm shook Mintleaf off. "Everyone in ShadowClan knows your mates with Liontail!" he teased.

"ShadowClan? You've got bees in your brain!"Vixenstep scoffed,cuffing Goldenstorm's ear with her paw.

She frowned playfully at Vixenstep but when Goldenstorm let out his comment woo, if cats could blush she would have been all the shades of red. She stammered, "N-nu uh." She looked down at the ground and shuffled her paws on the ground. She giggled, "Oh well it seems that you and Vixenstep are great "friends" She looked at him slyly, her cool attitude returning.

Goldenstorm couldn't stop laughing when Mintleaf started stammering. Then he heard her comeback, "I like having friends." he studdered, he tried to move his paws away from Vixenstep. Despite his strong will, he found himself moving towards Vixenstep. No! he silently wailed.

Mintleaf laughed as he moved toward Goldenstorm. "Wow. You really can't stay away from her can you?" she replied with a sly grin.

"Pfft, stop teasing Goldenstorm, or you might just forget about me." Mosspaw taunted, putting his tail on his eyes. "If I don't see you, you don't see me." He walked in a circle before he sat down, and took his tail off of his eyes.

Goldenstorm stifled a gasp. "Of course I can." he retorted, sending silent signals to his paws to move away, but they didn't budge. "I just don't want to." he thought up a quick excuse. "It's cold out here and I'm trying to keep her warm." he pushed his fur into hers and felt his fur flush warm with embarrasment.

Mintleaf tipped her head. "Okay what fluff's gotten into Mosspaw's head?" She thought for a moment and then teased, "Oh yeah. Probably all that time he spent in the apprentice's den with Whitepaw the other day." Turning to Goldenstorm she rolled her eyes and sarcastically replied, "Oh really smooth Goldy, really smooth."
