Tourny Time! (Open...I guess)

Goldenstorm let out a faint friendly growl, faking a smile from ear to ear. He towered over the large apprentice, his origins bringing him to a magnificent height. "Fine with me." he whispered back. He braced his muscles and stood in his fighting stance. "Your move." he announced so the others could hear.

Birchpaw darted to the side,holding his paw out so that,if it hit,he would rake his paw over Goldenstorm's side. And just in case that didn't work....he used his other paw to batter at his haunches.

Goldenstorm lay flat on the ground, rolled over on his back to attack Birchpaw's vulnerable belly, his paw was aimed up into the air, it would've hit his shoulder if he didn't duck or move out of the way. Claws sheathed of course.

Birchpaw smirked. "I'm an apprentice! Not a kit!"he scoffed,leaping upwards and aiming to crash down on Goldenstorm's belly.

"Not a very smart one!" Goldenstorm laughed as he pushed up with his hind legs to send the cat flying.

"Hey!"Birchpaw yelped,flying off to the side and darting to his paws again. He narrowed his eyes in concentration,then jumped forwards,looking like he was going to batter Goldenstorm's head,but at the last moment he jumped to the side and pounced on his tail.

Mintleaf watched with interest, studying every move that was made. She was keen to remember every detail about how they fighted, so she might have an upper edge in her battles. Their strengths, weaknesses, habits, and anything else that would prove as vital information.

Goldenstorm whipped around and launched off the air, trying to pounce on Birchpaw. An apprentice move, no doubt.

Looking between Vixenstep and Mosspaw, Mintleaf debated who she would rather fight first. Vixenstep would probably give her a funner fight but Mosspaw seemed to end up "rubbing her the wrong way" so to speak, therefore it could be an enjoyable fight with him. She slightly bounced over to Vixenstep and commented, "These fights are going to drag on if we don't have a defint ending."

"I'm working on it, Mintleaf!" Goldenstorm shouted as he flew through the air, his aim extremely accurate as he tried to crash into Birchpaw.

Birchpaw was crushed to the ground,and he grunted as he was pinned. He pushed with all his strength,aiming to flip over in midair and crush Goldenstorm behind him.

Goldenstorm wouldn't budge, his claws were driven into the ground and his weight helped him stay on the ground so far.

Vixenstep purred. "Yeah. Although it does look like Goldenstorm's winning." Her voice held the faintest hint of admiration for the tom,and she licked one white-tipped paw before saying,"Birchpaw did have a good chance at the beginning,but Goldenstorm's experience in battle helped him a lot."

Birchpaw squeaked as he was pressed to the ground even harder. "Man,you must really like Vixenstep to fight like this,"he grunted,twisting his head around to look at him.

Goldenstorm couldn't help but laugh. "I got good reasons, Pipsqueak." he teased, letting Birchpaw up.

A bubbly giggle escaped from Mintleaf's mouth when she heard Birchpaw's squeak. She slapped her tail over her mouth and continuned to watch the battle. "End of battle I presume? Oh and will biting be okay? Of course no drawing blood though."

Birchpaw jumped to his paws. "Rematch!"he yowled indignantly,narrowing his eyes.

"Oh,c'mon! Maybe I wanna fight too!"Vixenstep protested,padding over to her brother and licking the top of his head affectionately.

Goldenstorm wiggled his tail in Birchpaw's face. "No way! There aren't any rematches in a competition." He stood, not proud. Beating an apprentice wasn't something to be proud of. "Who next?" he asked.

Mintleaf bounced over towards them saying, "I want to fight Mosspaw!" She had her reasons, but not because she knew it would probably be an easy fight.

Vixenstep purred. "Alright,but I go next!"she said,twisting back to groom her tortoiseshell fur.

"It's fine with me, you guys okay with it?" Goldenstorm asked the others. Even Birchpaw could have a say in this.

"Yeah,yeah,"Birchpaw mewed grudgingly,but he tossed Goldenstorm a wicked smile. "I'll get you back,and next time you win,I'll give you tips for how to get Vixenstep to like you!"he teased,grinning.

Vixenstep looked down,greatly embarrassed. "Birchpaw!"

Goldenstorm stepped back, his fur hot again. "You wish!" he called back, trying to make a comeback.

"You know you want to!"Birchpaw said,knowing he'd hit a weak spot.

Vixenstep looked at her paws,her fur hotter than the sun.

Goldenstorm was running thin. "You have no proof!" he called back.

Birchpaw glanced at Vixenstep before looking back at Goldenstorm,a look that said "oh really?"
